Iron Villas Sfakaki Crete — Hotel in Municipality of Rethymnon

This was our first time to Crete, and our first time renting an entire villa. The villa (Villa Rea) is amazing! It is very modern and everything was high quality. The pool was great, a good size for the four of us and great to have a kids pool and adult pool. Out by the pool is a covered area with a BBQ, picnic table and a sink and mini-fridge. The fridge was a great touch as it stopped us from having to go upstairs for refreshments. Each room was of a good size for us, a double bed and shelving units. All rooms had AC which really helped at nights and when you just wanted to get out of the heat. The kitchen included a stove, oven and dishwasher and everything you could need. There was also a clothes washer/dryer in the main bathroom which we used a few times as we stayed for 10 days. We had a few technical issues, but they were cleared up quickly by the staff. The staff were very responsive to texts with our questions. They were kind enough to give us a few welcome items (food and drink) and a few really thoughtful surprises during our stay. The location was very good. You can walk down to a few cafes and even the grocery and the beach. There are some pretty decent sized hills though, so we tended to drive down most of the time. The view from the outdoor balcony was amazing, we spent each evening watching the sun go down over the mountains and the sea. You’re able to see the beach and ocean from the balcony and kitchen windows. There are four similar units in the complex and at times we would hear activity from the others, but that’s to be expected and was not a bother. Staying at Villa Rea has really spoiled us, I‘m not sure we’ll be able to do anything but villas in the future! And it’s all because of what a wonderful spot this was, and how helpful the staff were. Stayed here with a friend for a week and it was nothing short of amazing. 5 star all the way. Welcoming and receptive host who was very quick to respond, any problems could be resolved very quickly. Also had a cleaner who didn’t bother us and did a great job. Luckily it was only us in the villas so it was nice and quiet. Nefeli has so much space for kids if you’re thinking of booking, the photos do not do it justice. Great space for outdoor BBQ by the pool which is great as there’s an outdoor shower. Abbiamo soggiornato presso le Iron Villas a Sfakaki dal 9 al 16 Settembre 2024. La struttura si compone di 4 case indipendenti, tutte fornite di parcheggio privato e di un bellissimo giardino con piscina e gazebo con area pranzo e barbecue. All'interno, la casa è dotata di una cucina spaziosa e completa di tutti gli elettrodomestici necessari (forno, forno a microonde, lavastoviglie) e piano ad induzione. Le tre spaziose camere da letto sono dotate di letti matrimoniali o, in alternativa, letti singoli. Nel nostro caso, una di esse era collegata a un piccolo giardino. La casa prevede la presenza di due bagni, uno molto ampio, con comoda doccia, l'altro più piccolo, ma comunque ben sfruttato. Assente in entrambi il bidet. La casa è inoltre fornita di climatizzazione intelligente, autonoma in ogni stanza e che si disattiva nel momento in cui una finestra o una porta vengono aperte. In casa troverete inoltre ampia fornitura di asciugamani e teli mare a vostra disposizione.

La casa si trova a circa un'ora di auto dall'aeroporto di Heraklion ed è vicino a due spiagge suggestive. Consiglio la visita alla baia di Geropotamos, a solo dieci minuti di auto. Per raggiungere le altre zone di maggior interesse a Creta, è necessario fornirsi di auto, ma la zona intorno può essere visitata anche in autobus, dato che vicino alla casa si trova una comoda fermata. Il personale di Iron Villas è gentilissimo ed il proprietario è una persona estremamente piacevole con cui conversare, ci ha accolti molto calorosamente e a metà soggiorno, in occasione della pulizia della casa, ci ha lasciato una piacevolissima sorpresa. La sua simpatia vi resterà nel cuore.
