Kanakis Apartaments — Hotel in Municipality of Rethymnon

First of all i want to thank Katharina, Maria and Matt, we spend some very relaxing and wonderfull days at kanakis Apartments.||Maria, Matt and Katharina make us feel at home.||We take a greek breakfest which i would recomend to all, and the best Thing is that Katharina Cooks every day a typical greek dinner which is really fanastic. We do not have to go out to find excellent good greek cooking.Also kanakis Apartments has a very clean and nice pool and a private beach where we have relaxed many times.||If you want to make any excursion Matt and Maria have very good tipps...including Restaurants in Chania or Rethymnon or beaches or monastires.||They offer very good food with here own olive oil which we also bought in the oil factory of Marias brother.||All in all we have to say that we can warmly recomend this Apartments, don`t miss the White wine, the cafe fredo, and the gin Tonic from Matt. :)||best regards to all persons from kanakis app. who made our Family holliday such a wonderfull stay||||we have a Family room at the first floor which was very clean and comfortable, the only Thing was the street at night which could be in some cases (Trucks or busses) a little bit noisy.||I think we will recomend a room which has beach side , there you have a fantastic view at the see and the beach. We had a wonderful 2 weeks holidays at kanakis apartments. We were there to celebrate the wedding of my sister in law in creta. The location of the hotel is really good direct at the sea with small private beach and swimming pool. It is 15 min from the city of rerhymno, really cute with plenty of restaurants. There is also a good taverna next to the hotel and it is also possible to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel, the pool and the rooms are really clean. The pool is really fantastic and warm. Our room was cleaned everyday even thought we were always sleeping late. We had a room with sea view and enjoyed it really much. Kiki at the reception was also cooking for us all the time. The food was delicious and she was super flexible with us and especially our 2 boys (4,6). She organised and cooked a dinner for my 40th birthday for 17 guests and it was delicious! My wife and I recently stayed here for our anniversary and what a spectacular property. The location is perfect if you what to get away from the crowds. The views were stunning, the grounds are amazing with a great pool, and almost private beach with a rock barrier. The reason for the 4 rating on the room is that that the air conditioning could not cool the room and made it very difficult to sleep. This is probably not a concern most of the year. Also, WiFi and cell signals are not very strong. I think it is due to their location. The owner Mr. Kanakis and Silvia were the ultimate hosts. Always so friendly and welcoming. We even visited the Kanakis family olive factory. Only wished we could have spent more time at the apartments, but we were busy exploring Crete.
