Hi All, ||Let me describe our holidays in this hotel. First, a few things why we went there - we wanted to go to 4* hotel this year and stay away from “party area”. Before buying this trip with Rainbow we checked the hotel and most of the opinions were good however was not sure for 100% as this was a new hotel. But we decided to go there!|My opinion is based on their category hence 4...||Good things:|- very close to the beach (you just need to go thru the road - not too many cars ;) )|- new hotel|- friendly staff|- peace and quite - the things that we wanted!!!|- you can always find a place next to the swimming pool ||Neutral: |- swimming pool was ok, but is not for people who likes to swim, it is more for children||And now other things.....:|- you have two bars: one inside next to the reception, second a few meters from the swimming pool - the pool bar is open from 10 till 6pm...yes, 6PM so if you want to have some drink in the evening outside you need to go one floor up inside the hotel...crazy|- food - first time after 2 days of my holidays I didn’t want to eat in the hotel, meat was tough difficult to chew, during the lunch time you could figure out what will be served for supper :) |- rooms were new but someone was in rush painting the walls because even the wood was painted ;), for me a big minus was shower curtain....which was not there, but all would be good if the room would be cleaned every day...|- cleaning - yes, over here I have some more comments - I saw a cleaning lady a few times and even spoke with her 2 twice! We were there 7 days and our room was cleaned MAYBE ONCE! The another thing she was coming to clean our room at 6.30pm and when she saw me inside the room (of course without knocking ;) ) she was always saying “I will come later” but she was not.... Anyway coming at 6.30pm to clean a room...sth is very wrong! On the next day I even told her that I will leave and she can clean but the answer was the same....so if there is no shower curtain there is a big mess in the bathroom!|- hot water - only in the pool after sunny day....there was no hot water in our room, I think we could feel it only twice during 7 days in the early afternoon but anyway the amount of hot water was only for one person.. I informed of course reception about it I think 3 times, they have even taken a note of that but I think issue still has not been resolved.... still waiting for info :)|- smell- when we were leaving the main building to go to swimming pool (passing the kitchen) you could always feel a terrible smell of super not fresh meat..., I just wonder what people are feeling in the rooms that around the kitchen...||To sum up!|Hotel is still not finished, I had a strange feeling that at this time it is mostly for people from Poland and Czech, and when they finish it will be much more expensive and not for above people. Location and building have a big opportunity to become a great point to relax and enjoy the holidays in Rhodes. However this hotel is missing a TRUE manager, for me it looks like owner is a manager which has no clue how to manage it.||Zenith, I hope you will review my opinions and do something with about issues. I have been in many hotels in Greece and even 3 are much better then you so better make some changes ASAP otherwise you will get more ratings like this...
Read moreWe went to Zenith on September 18' with 5 people (2 couples and 10 month child). As far as we entered the hotel I knew that something was wrong. The area was untidy, the hotel looked a little like... I don't know - unfinished? ||||We came half an hour before the start of the hotel date and our room wasn't ready - still it was understandable for me as I was earlier than expected so I waited patiently until our time. In the end they let us into our rooms an hour! later than they were supposed to.||||Our room... it was my biggest nightmare. It looked like somebody just cleaned it and had... 3 minutes for it. Everything looked tidy at first but when you looked closer the walls/bathroom/floor was just disgusting. And the worst of it... ants. Lots of it. Our friends were with us with their small baby - she couldn't even walk yet so while being in their room we were just switching carrying her all the time. ||||After they let us into the room we didn't want to spend any more minute inside of it so we want to the pool. The pool is small and also not very clean. So came up with an idea to distract ourselves by having a drink in the pool bar (cause we had ALL INCLUSIVE). I cannot event know how to describe the... drinks? Or should I call it vodka mixed with orange juice? and other alcohol mixed with other juice? You had like... 3/4 kinds of alcohol and you could choose between 3 types of juices - which one you want to mix with your alcohol. That was ridiculous. They were also offering ice coffee but it wasn't even close to it.||||I felt like...in despair. I've never been in such a place before. After the ridiculous pool and pool bar we went to the sea - it's really just right next to the hotel and the beach is beautiful and calm - that was the best thing about all of this - probably because it wasn't related to the hotel.||||Last but not least - the food, it maybe wasn't bad although limited, but after all this disappointings I didn't enjoy it at all and nothing was tasty for me, but it may be just because I was angry at the object, I don't know.||||I'm thankful to our travel agency. They moved us to another hotel - beautiful one and thereby they saved our vacation. We spend one whole day in Zenith - we didn't even sleep. I would never go to sleep in a dirty room, full of ants and God only knows what else. I'm glad that we didn't have to spend another 6 days in this hell as many of people had to. We met later on at the airport and they were just pissed of by their holidays there.||||I definitely do not recommend this hotel. I'm attaching the only photo I have. I was too devastated to take more but I've recorded the whole film of the room with loads of ants running on the floor but unfortunately I'm not allowed to...
Read moreDuring our entire 10-day stay at the hotel, we had ample time to thoroughly evaluate various aspects of the location. Firstly, we were warmly greeted by Dimitri, helped us with our baggage. He is undoubtedly the best bartender on Rhodes and great guy all round - friendly, attentive, and a true gem. He made our evenings at the bar light-hearted and enjoyable. His colleague at the reception, whose name we regrettably forgot, offered us a better deal than we expected, that convinced us to extend our stay for the entire holiday instead of just a couple of nights as we planned in the beginning.
The room was spacious and suitable for our family of three, with the only minor improvement being the addition of a wardrobe or night tables near the bed. Nevertheless, this wasn't a major issue. It seemed that the hotel was recently taken over by new owners who were diligently addressing any shortcomings on a daily basis. The entire staff was amicable and eager to assist, so we were encouraged to approach them with any concerns or requests.
The housekeeping was excellent, as the rooms were cleaned daily(thanks to Diana and Valentina), and fresh towels were provided each day. If we wanted our bed sheets changed, all we had to do was ask, and the staff promptly attended to our requests. It surprised us to hear about previous guests posting negative reviews without directly communicating their issues, as our experience was that any problems were resolved when raised with the staff.
The food selection was truly impressive, with daily changes and additions to the dishes. We enjoyed most of the meals, and on some occasions, the spread resembled that of a high-end restaurant. During our evenings at the bar, Dimitri even crafted a delicious alcohol-free cocktail for our son.
Although we didn't frequent the beach often, it was conveniently located just a few minutes away from the hotel. As we prefer sandy beaches, we occasionally rented a car at a rental office nearby ( but it is also possible to do right at the reception) to explore other beaches nearby. All in all, our stay at the hotel was quite enjoyable, and we appreciated the effort made by the staff and management to enhance our experience.
In my opinion, I prefer the place to be quiet and tranquil, as I enjoy a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Even cats at the hotel were much more friendly and well-mannered than those in Pefkos :)
Thank you for a great...
