TAVERNA TEMPTATION — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

The lady there that looked after her, i wish i got her name but she is amazing, welcoming and fun to speak to. The chef is clearly a man who takes pride in what he cooks. We came to Temptation after visiting another place the night before where we didn't get the best quality of food, But Temptation changed our view on the food in Rhodes, I ordered on the first night Fried Calamari as my main and it was perfect, unfortunately i couldn't eat it all as i over did it with the appetisers and the Chef came over to make sure i was satisfied with the calamari which i told him it was the best i've had and the reason i couldn't finish it was because he did an amazing job with the appetisers too and i overdid it. The Feta in Oven is absolutely amazing especially if you compliment it with the Fried Bread that they do which is other worldly. 2nd visit we had i ordered the Cod and Chips, and from a British point of view it was one of the best Cods i had ever had with light crispy batter and the light and succulent fish it was great, and that Chef is a genius and he knows he is as he asked me about the Tartar sauce that he makes himself which i had never tasted anything like this before, it had such a soft and subtle taste that wasn't overpowered and wasn't weak to the taste buds, it was light and creamy and was the perfect compliment to his Cod. 3rd and our final night in Rhodes we had to come back to finish off our wonderful holiday with great food to seal in all the memories we had made. If you are visiting and reading this before you go to temptations, honestly what ever you order will be so much better then what you expectations will be. Their cocktails are spot on, as we have found out a lot of places free pour their alcohol leaving an overpowered alcohol taste that makes it difficult to drink, but Temptation cocktails are amazing, right amount of alcohol combined with the fresh tastes of the juices. AMAZING! every single person that works there were attentive, helpful and friendly. they also have live music which was great and they don't rush you out of the door when you have finished, in fact on our last night we had paid our bill and our wonderful lady that i wish i had gotten her name to promote how amazing she was, insisted on us staying to watch the live music and said we could stay as long as we wanted, to which we did stay another hour.

The most amazing environment I have seen! The staff are so nice, we had a lady seat us and she spoke perfect English and French, she made us feel so welcome and was saying how lovely we are, this really set the mood for the night. We ordered from a massive selection of food, not so much, but enough for everyone, pizzas, burgers, pasta, but also very traditional Greek dishes like souvlaki which I had and I thought it was one of the best ever! We had a bit of a wait for our meal but a lovely gentleman came out with some complimentary starters of some sort of fried bread with feta etc, this was unexpected as we were happy to wait but was much appreciated, then the food came out and as expected it was amazing, afterwards they gave us a complimentary mini cheesecake slice thing, which again was unexpected but super lovely, the pricking is ridiculously cheap, we almost spent over €80 the other night at a neighbouring restaurant and only spent €60 here for the same meal at a much better...

Ok. Where to start? How about visiting this place three times during week of holidays. Not enough? Extremely friendly waitress and multilingual chef, able to keep up quite complex discussion in Polish(!). Food itself is delicious. Fresh, colorful, set on the table with sense of good taste. Octopus is great both served from grill as from vinegar. Calamari very tasteful and delicate. Moussaka was the best we've ever had. Flagship appetiser was also intriguing – pita with anchois and special sauce – very tasty. We also tried spaghetti with shrimps, delightful.
