Notos Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Rhodes

We have just returned from an amazing week at this little gem of a hotel!||The staff are amazing! So friendly and can’t do enough for you.||The hotel is kept spotlessly clean both in public areas and the rooms.||Our room had amazing sea views and we saw the most beautiful sunrises everyday.||We had clean sheets 3 times and towels changed everyday.||There was a kettle in the room which was useful.||We payed 40 Euro’s for air con which we definitely needed as it was over 30 degrees everyday and still 25 degrees at night! ||The pool area was lovely, very clean and plenty of loungers.||The hotel is in a great position with only a 10 min walk to the beach which was lovely and very quiet and also only a 2 min walk to the village centre.||We found it so peaceful and relaxing and loved the fact that it was very unspoilt and not touristy.||The village was lovely, very friendly with great restaurants and a fab bakery and supermarket.||We loved the fact that you were shopping and eating with the local people.||We went with friends who booked a couple of days after us. I had messaged The Notos Hotel on their Facebook page and requested a high floor with a sea view if possible and next to our friends and this is exactly what we got!||We hired scooters from Dimitris in the villlage and would highly recommend doing this. Great way to see the island.||There are some beautiful beaches.||Lindos and The Acropolis is a must to see as is Prasonisi island where the two seas meet.||I would t hesitate to return here. I must start this review by saying the late deal we got with Thomas cook was very good value and we had a nice relaxing holiday . The week we stayed was the last week of the season for the notos and we were actually one of the last 3 couples to leave.||Gennadi is a very quiet village and is some distance from the airport and Rhodes town. Although even this late in the season we found the buses to be fairly frequent and reliable . We managed to get up to lindos and kiotari .||The hotel itself is very basic but is always kept clean and tidy. The rooms are adequate and we had one with a lovely sea view. Really do hope they consider getting a small fridge for each room next year though and possibly mattresses which aren’t quite as hard. There is plenty of storage space for clothes and the shower is very good .||The hotel is in a good location in the small village of gennadi . There are 2 nice restaurants, a bakery, shop and cocktail lounge. Enough for us for what we wanted from this holiday .||The breakfast in the notos was good value for the price we paid and was always kept fully stocked . Although some more fruit would have been nice .||The pool area is nice and there is a pool bar that serves drinks and snacks . We had no problem getting a sun lounger but the hotel was very quiet when we were there .||The family that run the hotel are all very friendly and are always available for help and advice .||We would have no problem staying at this hotel again if we could get a good deal and fancied a...

In the photos you can see a nice hotel with very attractive prices. Things are not exactly so. It is an old hotel that needs renovation. The double room we stayed in was marginally spacious for two people but the bathroom was desperately small without ventilation. It was difficult even to sit in the basin. The room was east and the morning sun lit up the whole room because unfortunately there was no tent on the balcony, there was no roll and the shading curtain was very small. So one had to wake up early in the morning. The hotel has wi fi but despite repeated attempts we were finally unable to connect. Also the air conditioner was quite old and made some noise when it was operating. But it wasn't all bad at this hotel. Our balcony was large, autonomous and overlooking the sea.
