We have just returned from our first holiday at the Kastelli and have enjoyed every minute.|We spent 2 weeks here, and off the back of this, will return in October.|It is a family run business and everyone is always about to help if required.|The air conditioned rooms are perfectly sufficient for the stay, with a refrigerator and plenty room for your clothes. |The balcony in our room was perfect for a bit of late afternoon sun bathing.|The pool area is perfect for a bit of sunbathing and relaxing with a beer and a chill.|The bar/lounge offers well priced drinks throughout the day, and there will always be someone around. Without doubt, the shining lights of the Kastelli are Michael and Anna. They (and their family) can simply not do enough for residents. They take customer service to another level. If I had to list everything they did for us during our stay, I would be here all night! We were not planning to come back later in the year, but (surprise surprise) we have now booked our flights for beginning October (just before the hotel closes for Winter). Enough said really. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the town centre, and 2 minutes from the bus stop (to Rhodes Town or Lindos etc). I recommend the Kastelli 100%, the rest is...
Read moreIf you are looking for a traditional family run Greek hotel then this is the place for you, it si close to all amenities needed with some great places to eat within a 10 minute walk. ||The staff are very attentive, friendly, accommodating and nothing is too much of a problem for you.||The food served is traditional and well cooked. the rooms are clean and there was air conditioning in the room we had and it looks like all rooms do have this.||The town Sq. is less than 1 km from the hotel where there are shops and coffee houses and you get there by walking along the main road, it took us about 10 minutes.||The time we spent here was only four days and the amount of other guests there also you could count on two hands which made it cosy and most of the other guest had staid before which must say something in the way Michael and his family run the hotel.||If ever we return to Afandou we would defiantly book to stay here again.||Michael, is was a pleasure meeting you and your family and thank you for making our sdtay an enjoyable one...

On top of that the doors and walls were so thin that we could hear everything that was going on around at the hotel. Unfortunately we had to pay an extra fee for the AC, as it wasn't clear at all on the booking site that it wasn't included in the price. Lastly, we weren't allowed to bring our room key with us, as they wanted us to leave the key at the reception desk every time we left the room. This reception desk was not monitored, so people could easily grab your key if...
