Gardenia Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Rhodes

A nice and friendly atmosphere... that's how you can describe family hotel Gardenia. What a good time we had! A small hotel run by a Greek family, on top of a steep hill where you first think, where are we going?! you get to the top and look over Affantou towards the sea! An amazing view!

The room was small but nice. More we did not need. Everything was clean and that was the most important thing for us. The family was very hospitable. They arranged a scooter for us and we rented it for the whole week. And if we had questions or problems we could always contact them.

We had also booked breakfast and that was fine. Freshly boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, fresh bread, coffee, orange juice. Simple but delicious.

If we didn't feel like going out in the evening, we could eat with the family in the hotel. We did that twice and it was great! Homemade mussaka, pasta with prawns or a delicious salad. It was all good!

We highly recommend this hotel and in the future we will definitely come back to this beautiful island, and especially to this fine hotel with this...

A lovely family run hotel, in a town just between Rhodes city and Lindos, both available via local bus, though you need a car for the rest of the island. ||If you speak German the hotel is an excellent choice as the whole staff (which is actually one family) speaks German. ||||View from the garden is superb, rooms are clean and just enough in size, Breakfast is fine (you need to try greek yogurt with fruits!) ||Wifi only available on the terasse. ||Pool is small, but you will go to the beach anyway. ||Free transfer from and to the airport. ||||Some people here on tripadvisor mention that they were disturbed by the members of the family or other guests sitting on the terasse. Well, you usually do not feel observed by the portier at a hotel, do you? And here you can chat with some of your hosts if you wish. If you do not feel like chating just sit and relax, check your mails or whatever you fancy, they won't bother you. They are there just in case you...
