Pansion Galini — Hotel in Municipality of Samothraki

It is always nice to have an excellent experience when you arrive first time in a place. For my wife and I, it was the first time in Therme-Samothraki and we had the pleasure to stay at Galini. The rooms are basic, but clean and verry coasy, you feel the real greek way of life. The breakfast was a delight, with plenty to choose from. But nothing would be perfect without the owner intervention. Thasos (as he recommends himself) is a nice, wellcoming person, all the time on the property, having as a main concern his guests well being. Also if you count the fact that he is a Vespa and vintage bikes fan...things could not be better. So,if you want a nice stay, go to...

Pros: in the center of Therma, tall rooms, air conditioning (a must in the middle of august), large balcony, very nice waitresses. Cons: small rooms - on booking.com the room was supposed to be 20 m2 large, when I checked the room was actually only 10 m2 (bathroom included), it did not have a real wardrobe, the sheets and the towels were changed only once in 10 days. The breakfast is ok, but could be better. I talked with the host about taking 2 bikes to ride around the island, and the first time I used mine, after 50 m I changed the gear and the chain changer broke and smashed the back wheel. stayed there for 4 nights. i was camping with friends but it got rainy and cold for a few days and, as i had a project to work on, i decided to take up a room. the rooms are impeccably clean and service is great. the mattress was brand new and super good quality. the room was smallish, which is typical for greek islands i think, but had a comfortable table, as i said super clean, cool, and a super huge terrace overlooking the sea. Therma and Samothraki in general is an amazing place, at least in my opinion. the hotel has a pizza restaurant as well; you can have breakfast, etc. i recommend this place!!! also, very quiet when I...
