Καφενείον Τα Θέρμα (Cafe Therma) — Restaurant in Municipality of Samothraki

CAUTION Creep alert We caught this man who is a regular at this cafe everyday, taking unsolicited photos of young women by hiding his phone screen with its wallet-case. Over and over again until we yelled at him to stop. Disgusting. We confronted him in front of the whole cafe but very few people cared. We heard that he goes by the nickname ‘Voodoo’. I wished the cafe management would reprimand him, but the only staff member who witnessed this didn’t have the authority. This is just a PSA for anyone reading to be careful around this person. As for the cafe; it’s a gift to the community to have such lovely humans run such a beautiful and essential coffee place which serves as a resting place for all who are lucky enough to come to...

The must of samothraki..... Recommended to all people who want to share the spirit of the ancient agora, sharing drinks refreshments, coffee and most of all the conversations around the tables.... From the morning till late in the night Tatiana, Louisa, Iordanis, Iliana, and the rest of the stuff will do the best for you, and if you are lucky enough, you may catch a live music happening with traditional Greek rebetiko music or with Latin jazz...

Καθίσαμε για καφέ και σνακ το πρωί. Οι εντυπώσεις είναι ανάμεικτες. Σίγουρα μας άρεσε η σκιά κάτω από τα δέντρα και η ησυχία. Μπορούσα να διαβάσω με την άνεσή μου το βιβλίο μου. Στα αρνητικά είναι η συμπεριφορά του προσωπικού. Οριακά αγενής. Σου δίνουν την εντύπωση πως εάν δεν είσαι φίλος τους/ γνωστός τους, θα σε εξυπηρετήσουν με το ζόρι. Ενδεχομένως, να εργάζονται άπειρες ώρες με πολύ λίγες απολαβές και τους βγαίνει έτσι. Ως προς τα όσα καταναλώσαμε: ο καφές (espresso) είναι μέτριας ποιότητας και το μόνο αλμυρό σνακ που είχαν είναι το τοστ. Προφανώς είναι καφενείο και το "κόνσεπτ" είναι συγκεκριμένο, αλλά με δεδομένο και το ότι έχει συνέχεια πελατεία, θα μπορούσε η ποιότητα των παροχών να είναι καλύτερη. Υποθέτω ότι σε αυτό συμβάλλει και η έλλειψη ανταγωνισμού που δε δημιουργεί κίνητρα για προσπάθεια. Εν κατακλείδι, σίγουρα δεν είναι το αυθεντικό "γραφικό" καφενεδάκι του χωριού (εκτός κι αν δεν έχεις ξαναπάει...
