This might turn into a long story, but I promise it’s worth reading — especially if you’re looking for a place that’s truly reliable.
Our trip started with what I can only describe as the worst accommodation experience my partner and I have ever had. We were staying in Nea Skioni (I won’t name the place, out of decency), and it was a disaster: poor hygiene, no basic respect for people. We were left scrambling, desperate to find another place at short notice.
That’s how we found Petunia. The price caught our eye — honestly, for such short notice, it felt almost too affordable. At first, we had doubts: the reviews weren’t all perfect, and we were already a bit traumatized from our first experience. But we gave it a chance, and it turned out to be the best decision of our vacation.
Petunia really saved our trip. The rooms were clean and well-kept. Hot water ran perfectly (maybe a little more pressure wouldn’t hurt, but that’s just my personal preference). The air conditioning is new and works impressively — after a hot day at the beach, it felt like stepping into a cool oasis.
The staff were kind and genuinely helpful. They even let us wash some clothes — a small thing, but it made us feel looked after. Cleaning isn’t automatic every day, but if you ask, they’ll come immediately, change towels, refresh supplies, all with a polite attitude and a smile.
And about the noise — contrary to what some reviews say, we didn’t have any issues. We stayed right next to the gathering table, and at night it was quiet and peaceful.
Honestly, for the price they charge, it feels unfair that this place has just two stars. It deserves better. You get way more value than you pay for: clean rooms, great AC, friendly service, peace of mind.
If you’re looking for a place where you can relax without stress, where you feel respected and treated like family, I’d absolutely recommend Petunia. It might not have luxury labels, but it has something a lot of higher-rated places are missing: honesty, warmth, and real...

Helped very much...||||Wi-Fi, which they have, is located in the center of the building, so if your room is near center you will have it in room. Otherwise, you have to get out of your room, to be in common area to have some access.||||Food, if you are in BB model, is very poor. One type of chees and salami, some butter and jam in small portions, not very great. So regarding expectations for food, it is better to take RR than BB.||||Now, in a place with 18+ rooms, you can not expect some quiet time. Kids, which are, by my assumption, of people who work there, are loud from 7am to 2am...no house order regarding quiet time, so do not expect that.||||Also, one important point. If you do not speak Greek or Russian, you will have hard time explaining what your needs, likes or dislikes. We were in a group of 4, speaking Serbian, English and German, and we managed to explain some on English, but after half an hour on mobile phones, looking for someone who can speak both English and Greek, so that he can explain. Translator needed. ;-)||||Basically, it is cheap, and that is main point. Good...

When we asked for room service, the employee informed us that it would be cleaned on the third day.
