Faros appartaments — Hotel in Municipality of Sitia

Simply one of my favourite places to stay in Crete! Xerokambos is somewhere you visit for beautiful scenery and peace and quiet, and Faros apartments is my go-to place to stay when I'm there.

The room was fully kitted out with a kitchenette and all the utensils you would need to be self sufficient! They even include a moka and a coffee machine to use your favourite ground coffee in! The room was very clean, with the A/C and TV remotes sealed which I thought was a nice touch. There's also a fire extinguisher in the room which I find to be a bit of a rarity in Crete!

The views are outstanding, and the owners have a beautiful sculpted garden in front of the apartment which just adds to it. The balcony was big and private, and offers just the most incredible views both during the day and night! There is also private parking available.

The owners are very helpful and you can tell they really care about their guests.

The area itself is very quiet, with lots of beaches to choose from. The local restaurant makes good, if typical, Cretan food and at a reasonable price. It's a 3' walk from the apartments, and we ended up walking up and getting a takeaway so we could sit on our balcony and eat while enjoying the view! The couple of tavernas on the more populated part of beach are pricey and mediocre quality, but you come to Xerokambos for the quiet and scenery!

Overall I adore this part of Crete, and would absolutely recommend a visit and Faros apartments if you want to...

We stayed here just for one night in September having wanted to spend time on these beaches for a long time - the location was great right in the centre and walking distance to three tavernas, a supermarket and one beach. The owner was welcoming and helpful giving us lots of details about the local area and provided us with an excellent book giving us loads more info too ||||The apartment was a good size and would accomodate four, the small kitchen area was well equipped and the bottle of Raki and red wine was a lovely touch too.||||The main bedroom had a comfortable double bed with beautiful sea views and the air con worked very well too. ||||The apartment was so clean, and the towels and bed linen all had a lovely " clean" smell and the bathroom was very good too with a proper shower curtain and plenty of hot water too.||||We really enjoyed our time in these lovely apartments and the beaches are really...

Thank you very much Maria and Lefteri. We had an amazing relaxing vacation at your lovely place. Faros apartments is very clean, both inside and outside. Everything is very well taken care of. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare your breakfast and a light meal. Very nice view from the balcony. Maria and Lefteris will happily help you with accommodations. There are many beautiful quiet beaches in the area of Xerokampos. The mobile phone signal and Internet doesn't work well in the area of Xerokampos, but no need for that if you are on vacation. Hopefully this will not be our last vacation in Xerokampos. Faros apartments is even nicer with your own eyes, than the pictures you see online. There is even mosquitoe net on the windows and balcony doors...
