First of all I know this is a two star hotel and in Greece you always have to take one star off, but I have been in places before to be able to compare them. ||We booked this hotel through a travel agency and the turist guide on the bus already had some bad comments about the place, only about this one... We arrived to the hotel late in the evening and at the check in we got our key and some potato wedges and roasted pork on a plastic plate in a plastic bag as a late dinner. The guy did not even looked at us nor the other three couples arrived with us. The door and the lock is awful, the terrace door is knocking all night if the wind blows, you keep kicking all the wooden furniture as the space between them is limited. We did not want to put our clothes to the wardrobe. The bed was hard, but ok. The toilet does not flush properly and you should not throw paper to it as the Greek drain pipes not designed for that. Bidet would solve the problems, but they prefer the papers in the bin all day. ||First breakfast was lettuce leafs, cucumber slices, cheese slices, some kind of meat, yoghurt kind of something, three different jams, cornflakes, awful tea and coffee, terrible orange liquid as orange juice. And the breakfast is the same every day. Nothing Greek, no tomato, olives or feta. Ok. Two star only...||The WiFi is 15 euors for a week even though on the website it still shows free. The travel agent said it does not even work properly, some people had arguments with the manager about it. The Aircon is 7 euros a day, but we did not need it. The safe is not free either. The pool looks nice, but we did not use it as we did not want to look at the face of that ignorant manager.||The dinners were one kind always, but they were ok. There were some cabbage, tzatziki and corn as a salad I guess, always the same pasta, probably from yesterday and melon or cake as dessert. But you do not have any appetite after you go past the manager who always sits next to the bar with his laptop and the waitress, never says anything when she brings your food to the small plastic tables, where you have no space for your legs. They never ask what you want to drink either.||After dinner we always went next door to drink something, because they were nice and friendly like almost anywhere else.||All in all the place would not be so bad if the manager was somebody else, but they just always give you that feeling you are not welcome, pay and get out. I spoke to other guests as the subject was always the idiot manager and his staff, and the y all had the same opinion. I spoke to a lady who was there with her three years old daughter. She said she only had the reservation on her phone and was not printed and the manager told her to get out and knocked her sprawling in front of her daughter. Somebody from the travel agency had to come over to sort things out. ||The agencies know well what the guy is like, we spoke to them about him, but they do not do anything.||This place just ruins the otherwise very good holiday.||We booked our holiday on Invia.hu and our agency...
Read moreI'm giving two stars just because the pool and the outdoor area is really nice and clean, and the beach is located near the hotel.
But, if you disregard the pretty exterior, the interior is pretty bad. The hotel is advertised as 'ideal for families with kids', but the playground within the hotel has one functional see-saw and that's it. They have some rooms which have been renovated, but the rest of the hotel needs some serious work. The bedslats from our bed kept falling down and making a huge noise, plus the bed was very uncomfortable (even for my 4-year old who never had any complaints about where he sleeps). The shower curtain looks like it hasn't been replaced couple of years, and the shower itself is very small. The cleanliness of the rooms is so-so.
Wifi is charged and you get no signal in your rooms, just the terrace (plus it's very slow, but it's mostly due to the provider, the internet is slow all over the island).
As for the food - the options are very scarce and repetitive. Breakfast is the same every day - cereal, toast, some ham&cheese, marmelade and butter. For dinner, they rotate the same schedule-different forms of meat and potatoes. When we skipped dinner or went outside to eat, the owner kept inquiring us (or rather noticing) we didn't attend dinner.
Even though it's one of the cheaper hotels, it's still expensive for the...
Read moreThis hotel is located very close to the beach, not exactly next to it, but takes only 3 minutes walk to be on the beach. We had a normal room, not superior. The air conditioning is extra cost, 7 EUR per night. The wifi is also additional cost, I did not buy it, but 15 EUR/week. The breakfast is fresh, but only 1-2 kinds of food is available, I ate the same the whole week, at least you don't need to go to the shop every morning. No option for early breakfast if you leave early for a program. I did not try dinner, but it is possible to buy that too. The rooms are clean, they come in every day. We had a balcony looking to the sea, but not directly, there is another hotel in front. You can still see some water at the sides. The room is quite small with old furniture, but I do not need much. The beds are comfortable. At night the place is noisy as there is an Elvis bar close to this hotel, you can hear the music at night. I sleep with earplugs anyway. The hotel has a swimming pool, many people liked it, I only went to the sea so I don't know. Sometimes the water in the bathroom was not exactly hot and you need to bring your own hair dryer. All in all this is not a very high quality place but for one week I was OK with it and being so close to the beach is...
