If you are looking for a clean place to stay, in a 2-3 (Greek) star, no frills, hotel, which is located next to one of the best resort areas in Corfu, and you aren't too choosy when it comes to breakfast, then this could be the hotel for you.||||Our room was located on the 1st floor with a view directly onto the seafront. The room was rather small and annoyingly only had two single beds which, when placed together, still had a large gap in the middle. The bathroom was large enough and the only real downfall was the hand held shower (this could be easily resolved by the hotel at minimum cost). ||||The furniture has seen better days e.g. we had a drawer in the table which couldn't be closed and homemade shelving had been provided for extra storage space. A very small TV is provided with 9 channels (Greek, German & one or two English)||||When we arrived we had to ask for a fridge and hairdryer as these were not initially provided. Neither is shower gel etc which you would expect from a 3 star hotel (as listed in the TUI catalogue). ||||The breakfast is one of the major negatives as the choice is very limited (i.e. 2 types of bread, one type of cheese and (mainly) cooked ham. An egg choice (mainly hard boiled) was provided every 2-3 days. A small selection of jams, cereals and water melon was also available. ||||The hotel Tavern is located directly on the beach and provides good food etc. Sadly it isn't open at night so we always ended up at other taverns on the beach front for evening meals etc. The hotel has a bar but this is let down by lack of ambiance. ||||Staff are friendly enough, particularly at breakfast, and the hotel is very clean with towels etc being regularly exchanged. The hotel provided a room to shower and change on the day of departure which was a great service. One area of concern was the bath mat which wasn't changed for more that one week and was replaced, half way through the 2nd week, by a folded up towel (maybe they don't have enough bath mats to go around).||||The hotel provides internet although this only appears to be available in the lobby/bar area.||||The German Hotel Association (DEHOGA) would class this hotel as one star (not three as given in the TUI Catalogue)||||All in all the hotel provided everything which is listed on its website and the positives far outweigh the negatives which was why I gave the hotel a four star rating. The hotel has lots of regular guests which...
Read moreWanted an apartment for 3 days near to the beach so that I didn’t have to walk up the hill every day.||Saw a room with a double bed on booking.com and asked to view the room before booking. The room 204 I think, was on the 2nd floor with a balcony over looking the street but with mountain view etc.||Room was basic but clean with some nice flourishes. Went to look at the shower, only to be somewhat miffed that it wasn’t attached to the wall, a re-occurring frustration for me in Corfu!||Anyway the lady promised me that they would put the attachment up on the wall that afternoon and I agreed to the booking on that promise. Low and behold, when I returned it was on the wall and worked perfectly.||Loved the little garden and the cats. Bathroom has a useful mop and bucket and a sponge type shower mat, both were helpful in keeping the floor dry. ||Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Great value and covers...
Read moreClean basic room, with a balcony view towards the mountain one way, and a glimpse of the nearby beach/sea the other. Very friendly and helpful staff, with Sofia in charge. She arranged taxis for transfer to/from the airport 20 minutes away, provided a hairdryer on request.|As we were checking out in the morning, but had to wait for an evening flight, Sofia looked after our luggage while we managed another day on the beach and, although she was fully booked, allowed us use of a room that was empty for cleaning between guests so we could have a quick shower and change. We had heard of other accommodations that charged extra for this.|There are ‘supermarkets’, and excellent restaurants within walking distance. The sandy beach is also a very short walk away, with its own selection of places to eat.|Very reasonably priced accommodation in our view, and we would be very like to...
