This is a really bad hotel, I would certainly not recommend it to anyone. We stayed there for 4 nights at the beginning of August. They were severely understaffed resulting in large queues for all of their services. For example, we waited for about 30 minutes to check in and on average 30 minutes to get breakfast from a waiter-facilitated buffet. Breakfast itself was horrible, certainly not worth the money. All the pastries were stale every day and the coffee was undrinkable (you had to pay extra for cold cappuccino and order it from a different bar). Also, you weren't able to see the egg-related options, the cheese and charcuterie as they were located at a counter at the back of the buffet which was unreachable, and the stuff did not sufficiently explain them. The omelette was inedible and there was no fresh juice. The air condition did not work and it was 40 (Celsius) degrees hot. On the first day the fridge was not working and they switched it with another room’s fridge that was working. Our room smelled like urine and when I asked them whether they could do something about it, they said that they are going to fix it but to bear in mind that they are not a 4-star hotel they are just a 3-star hotel. At some point we asked for an iron, and they said that another resident had it and had no idea when they would return it. After a few hours they did manage to find an iron but it seemed burnt as its bottom part was black. I asked them for a complaints form to note a few suggestions for improvement, and they said that they did not have a complaints form, nor did they have enough time to listen to my complaints. They vaguely advised me to send them my complaints without specifying to which email address. They are amateurs and frankly...
Read moreWhat a gorgeous hotel. Right in the middle of the harbour/town, about a 1 min walk to the old cobbled street and a also towards all of the cafes and restaurants and shops - everything is right outside the front door.... it's a great location, and also a 8 minute walk to the ferry port, where you can easily roll your luggage along the foreshore to the ferry terminal. The hotel is beautiful, well decorated and the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. We had a cute ( tiny) balcony overlooking the water, great big comfy bed, strong air-conditioning, strong wifi, a good sized bathroom, space for our luggage, plus breakfast is great and lots of choices ( for Greece) and you get to enjoy this on the patio overlooking the town and the street in a lovely little environment. There's a grassy area at the back of the hotel to sit in the sun, and there's another outside patio running around the property to have drinks. The staff were so friendly and helpful, esp Katarina, who organised a carpark for us as we hired a car, printed off boarding passes, helped us with directions etc.... really friendly reception staff. The rooms are clean, spacious and the hotel is elegant. It's literally on the steps of the main port and town so the location is great and if you hire a car there's parking and one road in/out of town, so it's easy, but we walked everywhere in the afternoons/evenings and the old town is on your doorstep. Worth a stay and great...
Read moreStayed here for 2 nights in August and it was absolutely amazing both times! Me and my partner were in Syros the first night and were greeted by a really kind lady at the reception. That night we ordered room service to our room as we were tired from travelling, all of the food was gorgeous!! no extra cost and menu very reasonably priced. Rooms were spotlessly clean, our room had the most amazing view over the sea! The outdoor area admittedly we only went there once, seemed so gorgeous also! Right infront of the water and you can swim off of the pier! Hotel feels very very safe and no fear that anything would go missing! Wish we booked the suite as it comes with private pool! definitely worth the price which is extremely reasonable. You definitely get value for money! Already planning to stay here again soon hopefully. Will be back 100%! Highly recommend do not even doubt the hotel!...
