SEMINARIO — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

So, unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to experience the restaurant, its dishes, its atmosphere and the service of the waiters. HOWEVER, I am writing this review for another reason as we were not faced correctly by the staff handling the reservations. So this restaurant offers the opportunity to make online reservations. On Monday morning we saw the generally good reviews and so we decided to book a table online via this function for Thursday evening. Our booking was made successfully, we got a confirmation and we were looking forward to experience the restaurant. WELL, we didn’t get the chance to do so. On Wednesday afternoon, one day before our reservation, I received an email that the reservation is cancelled. We called the place and the man that answered told us that he cancelled our reservation because it was made online and not via the telephone, and that he decided to replace our reservation with another group that CALLED the place to book the table. SORRY BUT what’s the point of having an online reservation function if you do not want to serve people who use this function?! Just...

I visit this restaurant since it opened, some 8 years ago, every time I come to Syros. Every year it gets better and better. Everything is looked after, plates, tastes, service, decoration, cleanliness. I really want to congratulate Dionyssis, the owner, one of the most polite and efficient professionals i've ever met. When a professional both knows and loves his job, the result is something like the Seminario restaurant. This time I tried the green pasta, black Tagliatelle with smoked salmon, the Mama greca salad, meatballs on sweet&sour sauce (there were more meatballs when served but I couldn't resist, I first ate them and then took the photo😂) and the tostada's with gyros. Everything was wonderful. I think it is the only restaurant that I have never been disappointed. Looking forward to visit...

Excellent restaurant ! Perfect location, perfect hospitality and service, perfect menu and taste!

I discovered this restaurant At probably the most beautiful and scenic alley downtown and was so pleasantly shocked with everything ! from their welcome and service (the owner Mr Dionisis is a great host that makes you feel at home , suggesting day’s specials and making spot on recommendations on what to order! .

The menu itself is fantastic. Very Greek with a great twist on some traditional dishes. Huge portions, ridiculously tasty and a great value for money.

As for the location… very romantic and picturesque! I can’t wait to go back to Syros and try them for a dinner!
