Mammo wine and food bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

A 3-day weekend on Syros Island and my husband and I went to Mammo each day. Friday evening we had only dessert - chocolate lover's cake - pictured - and friendly service brought us back for dinner the next 2 nights. Saturday we shared papperdelle with beef chunks, a huge salad and nicely sauteed mushrooms. We considered ordering more but our server helpfully suggested the portions are large. My husband deemed the meal one of his all-time favorite restaurant meals. No pics, sorry! Sunday was a lighter meal and an equally warm welcome back. Pictured - grilled chicken filet- moist and simply dressed with herbs and olive oil - accompanied by a large side salad. Our server and his manager convinced us to accept a gratis serving of their signature dessert. Served in a small flower pot - pictured - greek yogurt with a hint of lemon-lime topped by crushed, crunchy chocolate cookie. Highly recommend! We went here multiple times because we loved the food, service, atmosphere, everything! We did look at other places during our 10 day stay in Syros but ended up here 80% of the time because there’s such a large variety of food and it was all delicious. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. All of which were fantastic. We tried the club sandwich, açai bowl, prosciutto baguette, baby rocket salad, crispy prosciutto salad (my personal favourite), chicken bao buns (another favourite), vegetable spring rolls, vegetable gyoza, spaghetti carbonara, big mammo burger and the chocolate soufflé. Mammo has good quality coffee and fantastic salads and good cuisine in general. Excellent view of the harbour in the front of the outside seating area even in the winter time. The overall interior design feels cozy. My favourite place to seat in the winter time is at the back of the store where there is a warm enclave with comfortable seating. The only negative thing about this place in the winter time is the use of pumps of air fresheners that makes for a poluted atmosphere. The air smells of some fragrances that Irritate the eyes, throat and makes breathing unpleasant because of coughing. I will complain to the owner but this is a trent all over the city this year. I hope they will adjust the use of these polutants in their stores. They could be worse than...
