To Petrino — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

The service is incredibly slow and bad. It’s the first time in all the times I’ve been to Greece that I was disappointed in the service.

We waited 15 minutes being ignored until we asked to be seated thanks to two ladies who were in the same situation as us but were more assertive.

They were taking our order when they told us that if we wanted to pay by card we had to leave because the system was having problems.

We ordered Coke zero and they brought the zero sugar, zero caffeine, opened it and said that it’s the only one they had without checking if we wanted it or rather change the choice.

Food was okay, rather cold for the most part… but we ordered more bread 3 times and it never came. Portions are small and lackluster.

We also asked for the bill 3 times until they brought it.

I didn’t experience that they were trying to kick us out, it was rather that they wished we were not there and that serving tables was an afterthought.

Not sure how this place is rates over 4 when it’s just a very mid place with mid food and...

The worst experience I had in Syros, by far. They do not let you enjoy the music right after you have eaten. They use all kinds of tactics to pressure you into leaving (coming every 2 minutes to ask if you are done, while we had not finished our drinks). The highlight was that the waiter came at our table with the POS, and was very indiscreet about looking at our bill and informing another customer that we will leave soon. Do not spend even one Euro there, there are far better choices. Even worse, at night when we got back to the hotel and tried to sleep, we found out the effect of their abysmal quality of food on our stomachs. We suffered the whole night, avoid...

Quite disappointing experience. We ended up there by chance as all other places we initially tried were fully booked. Unfortunately, the food was generally very average and dry...Only the fried squids were decent, everything else was below average. Prices are also higher (!) compared to other restaurants in Syros and are definitely not justified by the food quality or by the location, the setting, and generally what this place has to offer.
