I have had booked this hotel for 6 nights. Due to high volume of good reviews on bookings.com and some others websites I had decided to give it a try. You get welcomed with a tiny glass of sweet red wine served cold. It was something new, I enjoyed it. The room we had was the one in the middle 102. Spacious room, clean, well decorated. They give you for free a bottle of water and tell you that you need to buy your own after this, fair enough! The pool was great and comes with a jacuzzi style which is not as great as they put a lot of bleach. Water inside its very clean and cold at all times which I found it great as it got very hot some days. Pillows were poor, so the matress, couldn’t get too much rest. What was disturbing for us was the old noisy fridge which was very disturbing at nights, the aircon that was turning on automatically at nights, waking up freezing in the mornings. The toiletries provided are not as great so I would recomend to bring your own.| The breakfast was served every morning and we’ve been told that it will be different every day, altought very repetitive, obv that was a lie. How dissapointed we were after reading so many good reviews about it. Basically you get eggs every day in different shapes, for the last day I even got sick after those runny eggs omlette style made with the egg machine I guess. Disgusting! Anyway, meatwise you get some slices of ham 1 in 3 days. A lot of bread, milk with cereals sometimes, yoghurt with cereals the other days, lots of sweets (I don’t get the ideea of so many sweets in the mornings, it was bassically more than the actual food itself), butter, jam and nutella (yes more sweets), a bowl of fruits which was made only of orange and pear every day and finally 250ml of fresh orange juice (literally a glass of juice for one, we end up buying ourselves). The maid was pleasent and did her job great. However at some times we felt pushed and rushed. For the day of our flight we’ve been asked if we need a taxi and after I told her a specific hour she decided the actual time the taxi should be there. We end up 3h earlier in the airport (its like she was trying to get rid of us, even tho we had to leave the room by 12). There are also hidden charges before you leave keep some change with you, as they will ask you to pay some taxes as well (around 5€, its called special accomodation tax, didn’t bother to ask, but that just scam after you pay 160€+ for a 3 stars accommodation). | I do recommend to someone with not so high expectation but with a big pocket. I am personally not returning to this place neither I would recommend to a close friend.| An honest feedback from a...
Read moreWe arrived around 3.00pm and was given a warm welcome by Mia who then escorted us to our suite ( 101 ). The suite was modern, spacious and clean. Equipped with a fridge, coffee machine etc and a very efficient air conditioning unit ( even in Mid September temperatures were still in the high 20's/low 30's ). Plenty of outdoor space which was private and quiet and a beatiful jetted plunge pool. The only noise was the busy road next to Filira Suites but that was never an issue. ||The shops, bars, restaurants and beach are only a short walk away. We found the restaurants on the beach the better with plenty of choice. Dorians bar which is on the main road and 10 minutes walk from the suite was very nice, with a large beer at 3E, glass of wine 2E and cocktails starting from 6E. We ended up there every night before heading to the beach front for food and sometimes went back for a night cap!||Every morning Mia brought breakfast at a time suitable for us. This was varied with fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, ham, cheese, bread, fruit juice and more! We could choose whatever we wanted and the next morning our requested were always granted.||Mia looked after us very well during our visit which we did appreciate!!||We hired a car which we picked up at the airport and dropped off when we went home ( Eurocar, no complaints ) and visited the whole of the island. The popular tourist towns such as Oia and Thira are very very busy. Thinking that mid September would be a bit quieter, how wrong were we, as we were told that September was one of the busier months.||Santorini is a beautiful island with some stunning scenery. As the island is regular stop off place for cruise ships, it is very busy however Perissa ( and Kamari ) are a lot less busier and prices are quite cheap. Just as an example, a typical meal at night for us - a large beer, 500ml house wine, starter, main course would be around 50E||Overall our stay at Filira Suites was excellent and would...
Read moreEverything about the Filira Suites was wonderful, only a short walk to the black beach ,resterants and bars ,the bus stop and the 24hr bakery.||The suit was very spacious with a cool interior design and equally spacious sunbathing area to the front.||You could even slip out the bedroom window into the pool to drink your morning coffee.||Each morning at what ever time was convenient to us we would send a text requesting breakfast and in 10 minuites a delicious breakfast arrived.||We would recommend catching the bus to Fira only 20 mins away at around 2euros.||From there you can catch another bus to Oia. Both places were amazing and must be seen to truly appreciate santorini beauty.||On the whole the best Holliday we had ever had and a big thank you to Anastasia and dea for their...
