i stayed at Kalipso Villas through contiki. This was a beautiful stay and i would definitely come back. The staff are so lovely, and have the biggest hearts, making sure everything is perfect ! Marouso is a lovely lady who made sure my stay was more than just comfortable. I stayed on an extra three nights where i got my own room with a balcony and really got taken care of. They all treat you like family which is so nice. Location is pretty good. If you don’t want there delicious toasties from Kalipso, there is a convenient store like two mins away as well as a bakery and two really yummy Gyros places down the road. There is also a cute mountain hike to do reaching an old church building or there is an art gallery close by and if you want to go to Oia there is a bus station right down the road. A ten min walk and you are at the black sand beach but if you aren’t up for that you have the beautiful pool here which is so clean and well looked after. If you didn’t want to tan all day by the pool you have the darts board, pool table, or the basket ball nets as more options. the breakfast here is great, fruit, cereal, toast, with all the toppings possible, and cute pastries with your selection of juices. the included dinner we got was so delicious, and the drinks made here are great and the smoothie options is perfect. this was a really beautiful place to stay in santorini and i thank everyone who worked there more...
Read moreStayed for 2 night here June 2019 as part of a tour group. Had room with 3 beds on the ground floor with deck with access to the pool. The hotel itself was quite nice, very clean and modern and more spacious than other similar hotels I've stayed in. Air con in the rooms. Only thing we didn't really like was that the bathroom door didn't close (big gap in the door) and was see through when the light was on. For couples this might be fine but we were 3 people on a tour group sharing a room so wasn't that ideal. Pool area is very nice, lots of sun beds and shade and a bar area at the pool. Breakfast served outside at the pool area, continental with scrambled eggs and sausages as well as juice and pastries available.||The hotel itself is nice and pleasant but the location isn't great. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach/shops and the area is derelict and run down. The surrounding buildings are falling down with old cars and overgrown fields - unsightly to look at and definitely not what you expect staying in Santorini. No footpath either so walking back at night was not fun as no street lights either and quite a bit of traffic on the road. If this hotel was situated closer to the beach or to main town it would be perfect but it's far away from everything which is the only reason I wouldn't stay here again. If you're planning on lounging by the pool all day...
Read moreIt was the worst hotel ever. It was a first time in my life when I saw a hotel that would allow drunk clients using the swimming pool in the night.they knew that the clients were drunk since they were keeping the pool bar open all night to earn some extra cash disrespecting totally the right to night rest of other clients. It was impossible to sleep, it felt unsafe since we were finding drunks sleeping in front of the front door. The rooms were not very clean and there was a serious issue with the water. Each time someone else would shower at the same time as me I was getting burned by very hot water. I wanted to leave but we had no time to look for anything better and the rooms were already payed. I've complained to the owner about the noise, the lights, the music, the lack of safety since there is no control who can access the possession, no lock at the door, people jumping to the swimming pool from balconies, drinking all night, running around the hotel, I even told her that we were about to call the police and her only response was :yes I know it is noisy at nights, no apology at all|This "hotel ", "villas " spoiled totally our holidays. It is better and safer to stay on the beach than in this dumpsters that they call villas. They have no respect for their...
