Stavros Bay — Hotel in Municipality of Tinos

The group of properties at Stavros Bay could be amazing. The view is gorgeous, we were in house D. The location is perfect, you can swim in front on the church at the bottom of the hill and it’s approximately a 15 minute walk into Chora. Both bedrooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable but the bathroom needs attention; the drains need cleaning, the sealant in the shower needs replacing and the plumbing makes a strange whining noise throughout the day and night. The furniture in the living area is adequate but not comfortable and the layout is strange. When we arrived shortly before 16:00, the house was being cleaned, we weren’t able to checkin until after 17:00. Following that the house was not cleaned properly for eight days, not twice a week as the website stated. There were a lots of ants in the kitchen area; on the worktops, in the cupboards and on the floor. They made the beds and took the rubbish twice, they didn’t take the soiled toilet paper bag or mop the floor, until the second week. I think they had problems employing a cleaner. Plus there were no spare bags for soiled toilet paper or bin bags, so we used the bio-degradable bags from the supermarket. I know times are very hard but we’ve stayed all over the Cyclades for many years you get used to a certain level of Greek cleaning and hospitality. We absolutely loved our stay at the cute cottage house in Stavros Bay, Tinos! The huge living room and kitchen combo was perfect for relaxing and enjoying meals and making art together. The ocean view was stunning, and we loved the fresh breeze that came through the big window which made the place feel so open and peaceful. Aris & Xenia were perfect hosts. Helpful and so accommodating - they helped us immensely when we'd made an error in our booking. The views from the apartments are stunning.
