Golden Sun — Hotel in Parga Municipality

I stayed in Golden Sun with my wife a year ago but I realized I forgot to write about it!||||All of the reviews I read were more or less the same so I won't go into many details. The hotel is a 2-minute drive from the town, you can get there on foot but the walk back is uphill so I wouldn't recommend it. The parking lot was relatively small but we didn't have any problems even though it was high season and the hotel was full.||The facilities look new (recently rennovated as I understand) and they are well cleaned and maintained by the owners, who are very kind and eager to help with anything.||Breakfast was not served then, so we brought our own. Eating breakfast on the balcony in the morning was incredibly soothing. No sea view or anything, but the quiteness was more than satisfying. Overall the hotel was VERY quiet. Far enough from the main road so that the noise didn't get to the rooms, also the tenants were all very discrete and quiet. It was like we were the only ones staying there! The same applied for the pool area, even though the hotel was almost full, there were no more than 3-4 persons at any time of the day.||The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchenette had everything we needed for basic cooking. There were no mosquito nets back then but as I understand they were installed recently. The rooms needed an upgrade like this because it was a shame not to enjoy the cool mountain breeze at night.||And of course there are the beds everyone is writing about. Can't argue there, on this bed we had THE best sleep we have had in years, better than our home bed I would say.||||If you need something closer to the town center or you don't have a car, you should consider other options but if you want a quiet and relaxing place to stay, this...

its the ideal place if you want to relax away from city noises .Comfortable clean rooms with super comfortable beds and pillows . The breakfast is served on the rooms , its the typical Greek hotel breakfast but is plenty enough to get you full and with quality products . The area of the swimming pool and the gardens surrounding the rooms are pretty nice. Personally i didn't like that there is no place in the shower to put the soap or shampoo and that they close the pool area during the night so you cant have a drink or just sit near the pool , i can say its the first hotel that i see that. We had an amazing time at Golden Sun! The rooms are simple but clean, water pressure was good AND you can flush your toiletpaper ;) The Dutch/Greek hosts are superfriendly as well.

Hotel is on a main road, but you hardly notice this at the poolside, because youre surrounded by greenery. Its a 20 minute walk to Parga, not the most scenic route but not much of a hassle either.
