If you ever find yourself in Parga, you simply cannot miss Dokos Taverna – the place that turned our holiday into an unforgettable culinary and cultural experience. We had dinner here every single evening – not because we didn’t have other options, but because we simply couldn’t stay away from their food. Another highlight that stayed with us was the Greek night organized by the family. The live music, traditional dances, and festive atmosphere were absolutely wonderful – we truly felt part of an authentic celebration, full of energy and joy. We tried this place because it was near our accommodation. First of all, the menu has a lot of options at very good prices. Secondly, the portions are big (side dish and salad included) and the service is great. It's a family business and all are very kind, relaxed and helpful. I think every Thursday there is Live Greek Music Night, but we didn't attend. They offered us Ouzo and watermelon from the house. We ordered and highly recommend fried fish, prawn risotto, Dokos Salad, orange ice cream pie (hidden gem), mixed grill, pasta. Everything we tried was delicious. In 8 nights in Parga we had 4 dinners here and I think that says it all. Usually I review places that disappoint us or that are tourist traps, but Dokos Taverna was beyond our expectations. We booked the Greek evening, which we were really looking forward to. Upon arrival, the order was taken neatly. The drinks came quickly but the dishes did not. As soon as it gets busy, the waiters all walk in one direction, causing many tables to be completely ignored. When we were only served 1 drink after an hour and a half, it was enough. When paying, we were also completely ignored, so in the end we just put cash on the table and left. The waiters clearly do not divide the tables, everyone has blinkers on.
