We were made welcome from the moment we arrived at Anezina Village. With it's winding paths and numerous trees and colourful shrubs we felt an immediate affection for our Village. Our apartment, one of only 17 in the Village, was a one bedroom ground apt with another unit above us which had no guest while we were there. Our apartment was open and spacious with a well equipped kitchen, large bedroom with lots of clothes storage and a comfortable queen size bed. There was one step up from the living area to the bedroom and bathroom. The living area had a good sized kitchen table and two large couches, perfect for afternoon siestas. We front and back patios which offered shade or sun whichever you preferred. There was also a tv which offered only Greek channels so if you decide to download some movies or shows ahead of time, check with Anezina before hand to see if you need to bring an HDMI cable.||||We had a great time at the weekly Greek night dinner when we first arrived and it gave us an opportunity to meet some of the other guests, some of whom we developed a warm friendship over the week. Loads of fun taking Anezina's cooking class where we participated in the preparation of a full six course meal then feasted on our efforts. Again, met some wonderful travelers.||||Anezina is right around the corner from a very good market offering a great variety of food and drink including a delicatessen, fresh baking and produce making it easy to prepare some or all of your own meals. One thing to note, like Italy and Spain, many stores in Greece close in the afternoon for 'siesta' and that is the case with the market but it is open late when it reopens. There are many shops and restaurants within close walking distance as well as a lovely beach. ||||There is plenty of parking if you chose to rent a car/moped/ATV. We chose to rent a car which allowed us to explore many areas of Paros.||||If we are lucky enough to travel back to Greece, we would definitely stay at Anezina...
Read moreMosquito Infested Rooms!* Maybe it was Just our rooms, but I would not recommend staying here during off season when the winds are high. I have never spent more time at war with killing mosquitos, than I have staying here. It was like this 3 nights in a row, I spent waaaay more of my vacation time swatting away insects than getting in a good night's rest. Me and my company all got bit throughout the night. Even with doors and windows closed, they never stopped. The high winds would also cause constant rattling and shaking of the doors, feeling like a horror movie from the 80's. Bright side was you get a kitchen and a living room to hang out in, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Overall, it would have been a pleasant stay had it not been for the attack of mosquitos. The bed did what it needed to do, I brought my own toiletry items so I did not use theirs.. (EXCEPT to smash the mosquitos with). Not my first choice when staying in Paros, look into other places first before...
Read moreWe stayed here May of 2019, and perhaps would have had a better time if it was later in the year when it was warmer. I was absolutely freezing and couldn’t get the wall unit to blow out heat only more cold air. (My fault, I never asked either) there was however an extra blanket in the bedroom closet (this only helped me, not my husband). The beds were thin mattress on top of concrete slabs, so by day 3 my back was killing me. We ended up leaving early. My biggest complaint was they required a $100 deposit which they refused to take a credit card for...they made me pay in cash. They did say when we checked out we could pay by credit and they would return the cash. This was close to all the cash we brought so we weren’t able to do much, as we didn’t want to pay the expensive fees for taking out cash from the ATM. I had to Wait close to 30 minutes on checkout for them to get the credit card machine from the store so they could...
