Markakis Restaurant Drios Paros — Restaurant in Paros Municipality

Our experience in Markakis restaurant is amazing every year, for the last three years that we are visiting this place! Delicious food, polite staff and nice view at is it located in Dryos Beach! Worth visiting! Definitely try the mules and the stuffed squid!

Edit and update: Unfortunately the fourth year the whole attitude changed! Food was very good indeed but after one hour (with a reserved table) they forced us to leave the table because they wanted to give it to another group of people! We hadn't even finished our ouzo! They asked us to move elsewhere in order to eat a dessert! Fun fact! The waitress didn't see us moving there and started shouting that we leaved the place without paying! Another fun fact! We are locals! She recognized us as soon as we got there! It's at least offensive to say so! That was our last time there!...

Well, contrary to many people's experience, our was not so great. No complaints from the service. It was fast and efficient. No complaints from the setting. On the contrary, the view is wonderful and the restaurant is decorated in a minimalistic aesthetic. Its the food that gets this restaurant its two stars. The food is mediocre. It is precooked and shamelessly served reheated. Most probably microwaved. The results of that lame practice is food that is striped of most of its flavours, ending a blunt sum of ingredients put hastly together. Its a real shame cuz the location is really fantastic. Amazing food in a restaurant which is located next to the sea! We ordered an amazing salad (which was very big and really fresh), mussels (really tasty), turokafteri (amazing cheesy sauce which I highly recommend), an amazing pasta dish with seafood and also other nice dishes which all were very very very tasty! We accompanied the food with some ouzo which made an excellent combination! Although a small treat in the end (some ice-cream, or some fruit maybe) was missing! Definitely give it a try if you...
