So we booked this hotel via Jet2, we hadn't seen many reviews so took a chance, so glad we did.||Transfer wise, around 40 min from Preveza, one of the first drop offs, easy check in on arrival and checked into our room which is perfectly adequate, roomy and had free air con. Bigger balcony, most look as though they have sea view albeit some more partial.||Breakfast was okay, bacon, eggs, small sausage, tomatoes and breads / cereals etc. plus coffee and tea and cold drinks.||The pool area is nice with plenty of loungers, some in the sun and plenty of shaded areas if like me you are a shade bather 😁. There are snacks available from 11 to 5pm, mostly toasties, pizza, sandwiches and salads. Dependent on your palate, you may choose to eat plenty there as the tavernas nearby are slightly samey as regards options.||The beach is lovely, rarely crowded and there are free beds and umbrellas, you just have to unlock them as occasionally, nearby campers will try and take them. The sea can be quite choppy due to a refreshing on shore breeze, this also meant a number of kite surfers appear in the afternoon, looks like it's a popular spot for it. Never an issue I add. The sea however was great for either a calming swim in the morning or a choppier bit of swim time pm.||Nearby restaurants offer mostly meat or fish, my wife being vegetarian found zorbas and Bouka offered the better variety, both within a 10 min walk. Kanali is further away with more options, we chose to get a taxi but there is a bus running 3 times daily. Also took a trip to Preveza which is great for people watching! A lot busier but found some really nice bars and restaurants away from the marina strip.||I do want to shout out the staff at Nepheli, nothing ever a bother and friendly all the time and happy to help with any queries, Panos in particular was super friendly and attentive.||Big thanks as well to the boss that made a mistake on the room booking and inadvertently booked a suite for us, a welcome boo boo that we graciously appreciated, these suites are amazing if you want to upgrade!||Thanks to everyone there and Jet2 for finding this gem, don't expect...
Read moreWOW just wow what can i say. My Sister and i spent 3 nights here and it was amazing. The family were so lovely always so attentive to our needs always happy to see us and help with arranging day trips, taxis, take aways directing us to a really good restaurant called Zorbas which is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Mums Greek salad was absolutely amazing and breakfast was good could have had some veggie sausages but wasn't that bothered tbh. As a black women i have had bad experiences when abroad but i can honestly say the people of Preveza were so accepting of us and super helpful where ever we went despite the sometime obvious language barrier. Everyone made us feel so welcome I feel so comfortable to bring my children next time i come. We have been to places where we were just stared at the while time and people where unwilling to help us. I have to say this as this is my lived experience of travelling while black and may help someone else. I am also disabled but have nothing to negative to say about the facilities the bathroom in our room was a little small but we had no intentions of living in it so I coped and to be honest the ocean view when you stepped out the bathroom made it worthwhile. I can honestly say i will return but next time with my children. We are looking for a place to go on a big family holiday and i have already suggested we stay at the...
Read moreIn August 2019, one day before arrival (at 20:30!!) the hotel cancelled the reservation of a Superior Suite for a family of four.||||Upon contacting them, they||a) claimed that they had issues with the A/C ("a leak" ?) these past 5-6 days(!) that they could not fix in all this time(!!).||b) Apparently they had informed BOOKING.com in the same time frame, via which the reservation was made.||||I have received in the past messages via Booking.com from hotels about minor details (some late arrival requests). Nepheli Hotel apparently felt it was insignificant enough to let the time pass and not contact me. The gentleman on the phone acknowledged that they were observing that the reservation had not been cancelled.||||I find their conduct completely unprofessional and I cannot imagine that this is different in other aspects of their services.||||An additional note is that they did not offer on the phone any replacement property or a future discount. These amateurs are the kind of professional that drive tourists away from Greece. If a hotel charges 180euro/night, they better act the...
