I actually loved Agia Efimia more: better super markets, lovelier beaches (you'll need a car), better restaurants (Paradise Beach Restaurant and Amalia), and everything is cheaper. ||||We were also lucky enough to find the Waterside Apartments. Located just 5 minutes walk from the village center, there is something about this place. Shaded by olive trees in the garden, you can sit either on your terrace or go out to the front seating above the water, drink a glass of wine/beer, gin n' tonic, take in the view of the bay while a gorgeous breeze cools you down on a hot, sunny day. There is also a small walkway that goes down to the water were you can chill on mats under umbrellas or go for a swim. Magical I would call it. From 6:00-8:00 pm I would put on some music and forget about the hustle and bustle of life and remember how amazing life can be. This place puts a smile on your face. ||||We stayed on the ground level in the garden sea view deluxe apartment. It comes equipped with a small kitchen (great for making breakfast and preparing Greek salads for the day, a small fridge, a nice big shower and clean bathroom, a small sitting area and a comfy bed. The room also has two fans and A/C. ||||The host (Tonia-sorry if I misspelled your name) was very accommodating, generous, full of good advice (Maklithari restaurant), and allowed us to check in early and leave a bit later. Our finally accommodation close to Lourdata canceled the day before our check in. Where to start beautiful apartment well laid our with everything you need! View is off the chart beautiful sea view and harbor view. Eating breakfast looking out at the view or enjoying a class of wine in the evening amazing. I am a sea lover and being able to walk out of my apartment in the morning and go for a swim and see many different species of fish is amazing. The apartments are clean and well fitted with everything you need. Agia effimia is a great little town with wonderful bars and restaurants and it is very easy to get to some amazing beaches. Apartments and facilities are kept spotlessly clean! Special mention to the bed my wife took the name of the mattress as it is the comfiest mattress we have ever slept on and we slept very well. We had great time visiting Kefalonia this summer. Best of all was Waterside appartments , as place is super clean, stylish, with comfortable bed but best of all was its location. ||It is near the sea. With direct access to water and you can go for a swim at any time. ||The garden is amazing.I enjoyed having a glass of wine and just staring at the sea and harbour. ||Plenty of really cool and cosy restaurants in the village.It is 5 mins walk to busy life and great food. ||Would recommend a day boat trip as well. ||We stayed in double roow without sea view ( as decided last minute and they had no sea view available) It was advertised as " budget ".
