Foinikas Restaurant — Restaurant in Sami Municipality

The owner of this place has an agreement with coach tour operators to stop at this restaurant. The guide insisted that we eat here so we won't get separated from the group. This is how the entire restaurant operates. Once a group is in, kitchen prioritizes their orders so they can all leave at once and make room for anoather coach. There's a lot of stuff, unqualified, but there to handle these turist waves. Food is average at best. And the prices... i had a really good lough when i 've read on google maps that it's listed at cheap eats($). A gyros is 14 euros. Suvlaki is 12 euro. You basicly pay for the owner arrangements with the coach tour operators. And there's this guy... "the older guy" from the other reviews, he's like an italian mobster. He decides who eats, when, where... It was AN experience! Next time i will check the reviews first....

The food quality was good and the food was nice and well cooked. The service was great, only downside was that I hadn't practiced my greek! There was music playing in the background that made the atmosphere that little bit better. The price range was relatively good for what I ate (Mincemeat Burger and 2x Pepsi Max). The cleanliness was amazing, tables had evidently been cleaned before arriving. They also had a wide range of different dishes on the menu from fish to Greek salads to grilled specialities. Only downside of the menu was that special dietary signs were not added on the menu. Easy to reach parking just across the road from the restaurant. If you want to eat at this place, reservation is not an option however, it wasn't too busy 18:30-19:30 time. Service was quick and food had reached us within 15-20 minutes. Overall, worth...

When we first got at the restaurant and settled down the waiter came at us and asked if we wanted to drink something. That is normal for restaurants but after we told him to wait some time and after 30 seconds he came and asked us what we wanted to drink and that repeated for some times. We ordered sea food risotto, squid with french fries and greek salad. The squid was ok but the fries were full of oil. The risotto was terrible. The rice had inexplicable aroma. The sea food and the rice were so salty your tonque hurt. On top of all things I told them that the risotto was salty, they took it from me, didn't give it back but still billed me for it. At the end they gave us an on the house dessert that was horrible. I also observed that the prices on the bill didn't correspond with the ones...
