SKIATHOS HOLIDAY HOUSE — Hotel in Skiathos Municipality

We stayed in this hotel for 9 days and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. We found the beds very comfortable and the breakfast very good with a wide range of foods such as fried eggs, scrambled eggs, omelettes with ham, cheese etc, sliced meats, cheese, cereals, Greek yoghurt either plain or with fruit or walnuts, bread, tea, coffee and fruit juice. The water fountains and gardens are lovely. Efi was available at a desk every morning throughout breakfast. She was very helpful with any queries we had, booking excursions etc and gave us help and advice on places to go along with a map for us. The one day boat trip she recommended and booked for us was fantastic.|The hotel is well situated, quiet and only a short walk to bus stop 1. There are 26 bus stops altogether, stopping in Skiathos town and at various beaches and they run approximately every 15 minutes, priced at 3 euros to the furthest away beaches and 2 euros to the closer ones. We tried 5 beaches whilst we were there and they were all lovely. The bigger ones all had a taverna on the beach and sun loungers for hire as well as space for your own umbrella and towel if preferred.|The hotel is only around a 10 minute walk to the town which has a lovely seafront and port and numerous tavernas and attractive shopping streets. I stayed here for a week with a friend and it was ideal. Airport transfers were included. Perfectly located, we could easily wander to the supermarket or into the town. The bus station is very nearby but we hired a car and parked on the premises. |Lena was a great hostess, she gave us fresh fruit and baked cake for us. She was incredibly friendly and always available for help and advice. |The rooms are clean, adequately furnished with air conditioning and a good sized terrace with table and chairs. There are no cooking facilities in the apartment, however, there is a BBQ and cooking area for use in the gardens. |The bathroom is typically Greek, with a small hand held shower, loo and basin. |The room is cleaned daily by Maria, (also very friendly and accommodating) and the towels and sheets are changed frequently. |Excellent value, we would...

Appartamenti senza piano cottura . Offrono una buona prima colazione. Un B&B praticamente. Solo sul posto ci siamo resi conto di altre realtà decisamente migliori allo stesso prezzo e più vicini al centro. Purtroppo è stata una pessima vacanza. La proprietà si è dimostrata opportunista e irrispettosa, priva di serietà e correttezza. Non torneremo mai più.||Ci è stata proposta una mini crociera che però si è rivelata diversa da quella concordata, evidentemente per trattenere gli 80 euro di caparra, e in modo poco trasparente hanno cercato di attribuire la responsabilità dell’accaduto al capitano. Ma il rapporto esiste tra chi ha sottoscritto l’accordo: i terzi non ci riguardano.||Consiglio tutti vivamente di rivolgersi direttamente al porto per qualsiasi prenotazione, evitando intermediari (vale anche per il noleggio auto): pur di guadagnare qualche spicciolo, non guardano in faccia a nessuno. È stato un comportamento scorretto nei nostri confronti. Hanno fatto la stessa cosa quando, dovendo prenotare l’auto, ci hanno messo a disposizione una loro macchina perché piu’vantaggiosa. Purtroppo anche qui abbiamo avuto diversi disagi. Macchina sporca e diversa da un eventuale noleggio. Un giorno ci siamo ritrovati anche le ruote sgonfie e abbiamo dovuto chiamare per farla sistemare facendo saltare così i nostri programmi.||Mi dispiace sinceramente per il signor Leo, persona gentile e disponibile, che non merita di lavorare in un contesto simile. Per quanto riguarda la figlia, inizialmente mi era sembrata una persona corretta, ma purtroppo ho dovuto ricredermi: si è rivelata insensibile alle nostre esigenze e anche opportunista.. Siamo stati ingannati da atteggiamenti e modi di fare che si sono rivelati solo una maschera. Una grande delusione.||Tengo però a precisare che il personale è sempre stato attento e professionale. Nessun appunto nei loro confronti.||È un vero peccato: noi abbiamo subito un danno, perché siamo rientrati insoddisfatti e frustrati. In soli cinque giorni non siamo riusciti a vedere ciò che avevamo sognato e pianificato. Era la nostra vacanza, attesa per un intero anno. Avevamo investito tempo, soldi, aspettative. E ci siamo ritrovati con nulla in mano.||Il fatto più triste? Pur non avendo mai mancato di rispetto, non ci hanno nemmeno salutati. Un silenzio che parla da solo. Le persone si rivelano per ciò che sono nei momenti critici. E quei soldi, ottenuti sulle spalle dei nostri sogni, non porteranno loro...
