This is the first time visiting Castella restaurant after our friends recommendation. We sat inside as the weather was rainy. The staff at Castella are very attentive and welcoming, Covid restrictions are in place but that did not detract from the friendly atmosphere. We shared a starter of roasted pumpkin and beetroot salad which was divine, a nice light dish if being followed by a pasta or pizza main course. My husband chose seafood tagliatelli (again highly recommended by our friends) and I chose a basil pesto pizza, sometimes feeling overfaced by "big" pizzas - not the case here, i ate the lot! After our meal our waitress brought us a little piece of cake which was just the right size, and to top it off a tiny glass of excellent home made Limoncello (both went really well together ) We will definitely be visitng again on our 1 week visit to Skiathos, taking our friends with us! Castella is an excellent choice for seafood and meat lovers and for myself and my friend there are plenty of...
Read moreLast time we dined in Castella was 4 years ago and we were happy to see yesterday that the quality remained the same and they also decided to redecorate the place. The restaurant environment is amazing- the location of it it's actually on the water ... you have your dinner with an amazing view of the port of skiathos. We got the tagliatelle carbonara, the margarita with fresh mozzarella and the vegetables millefeuille with goat cheese and local plums salad. The food is delicious and the portions are decent. I would only say that the pasta portion could be a bit bigger considering the price. (12E +2E for the choice of the homemade tagliatelle instead of the paccheri pasta)
All the waiters are very friendly and at the end they offer you a complimentary mastic liquor and some traditional almond sweet. It is one of the restaurants that you...
Read moreA spectacular setting with world class food. Castella is a must-visit culinary experience while in Skiathos. We started with three knock-out appetizers: the Buratta, the delicious Ceviche, and the garlic bread and were left reeling. Fortunately we came hungry! We could not get enough of the Seafood tagliatelle and the prosciutto pizza. Every single dish was masterful, we even learned that the tomatoes came from the family's garden! There is also a great selection of excellent local wine and beer. Add that to the fact that the restaurant seating is situated right along the water with one of the most breathtaking views of town. 5/5 food, 5/5 atmosphere, 5/5 service. We will...
