Akrogiali Tavern — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

Food was good..but...everything else its a mess..they are not organized..we had to wait for 15 minutes to bring us the menu..and thats after we had to ask twice..We order salad,fried squid and stuffed calamari ,bread and fries.5 minutes later we had the salad ,fries and bread...and then we had to wait for the main dishes for more than 30 minutes.We had to ask twice after 30 minutes why is taking so long for the main dishes..they probably forgot our order..Meanwhile the fries got of course cold after 30 minutes.. i dont understand why they didnt serve the fries with the main dishes.and they had to serve us the fries with salad 30-40min earlier... we had plans for later so we didnt want to complain more about everyrhing and ruin our last night in skiathos...There is more..we asked for the bill..and again..we had to ask twice and wait for 15 minutes..they brought us the bill..and guess what..we asked to pay with visa..and we had to ask twice and wait for + 20 minutes ..Then i just went by myself to the cashier and pay..I wouldnt go again there to be honest..We were planing to also order lobster pasta ,as my girlfriend was excited to eat there,but after all these we just wanted to leave as soon as possible from there..the food is nice but be aware everyrhing else needs a lot of work..2 days before we went to a restaurant about 10 meters from Akrogiali,everything was perfect,the service ,mood ,etc..Food at akrogyali is nice but they will not treat you so well.I feel like they didnt care..it was really busy (everyday) and i do understand that its difficult to serve so many people. But we ve been to other restaurants in the area and they were able to serve as a lot faster and in general everything was alot better.. [10/10 for food, 2/10 for service and atmosphere) sorry guys but u can do a lot better.. i am giving a 10 for food,but be aware about everything else. Ps. Booked a Saturday Evening meal at this Restaurant on our 2nd Night... Overlooking the sea, a prime location, but not the best food by far... I ordered the Whitebait, while my other half chose the Tsatziki dip and Breads... Far too much Tsatziki and the White bait had a very strong fishy taste, the type when it's old or going off.. Lucky I was OK the morning after, but for Mains, whilst we also ordered Lamb Chops, ( swimming in fat), I ordered the Moussaka, which was overcooked, and stuck to the bottom of the Clay pot it was served in...Really disappointing Meal, and to top it off, as it started to Rain, the owner found it hilarious, to open and close the weather screen, as we were looking out to sea... I'm not one to complain over nothing, but there are a lot better Restaurants to Dine at, here in Skiathos... Do yourselves a favour and give this...

Dined here twice during our stay, first time was fine, however, second time we were charged for the bread which we never ordered and haven't even touched (I checked each item on the bill as the price was higher than expected). When I queried it, the blonde lady with short hair pretended she couldn't speak English (she should really be ashamed of herself for lying like that) and asked the waiter to look into it. The guy came to our table and acted surprised, and after a bit of back and forth, he took off the bread from the bill. We didn't receive any apologies, on the contrary, they acted in a rude way and looked offended that we questioned the bill. I will never dine again in a place where the staff is unable to respect their clients. I doubt the authenticity of this place, as Greek hospitality was massively lacking! Do...
