Scuna Εστιατόριο — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

We had or tried to have a meal last night 29th June. We waited for service 15minutes, before even ordering our drinks. We eventually ordered our main meals & a bottle of wine with still water. The wine arrived, but no water. 45minute laters still no food had arrived. Eventually 2 meals turned up, mine and my daughters but not my wifes, we decided to start our meal thinking my wifes will turn up, the waiter assigned to our table (a guy with long hair) came over 10 minutes later and told us " there is a problem and will be 2 minutes" again another 5 minutes had passed, by this point my daughter and myself had both near finished our meal. When the meal finally arrived I passed a comment to the waiter saying " this isn't very good" meaning the delay. Well that was it! The waiter immediately went on the defense and in what I can only describe as a most aggressive attitude replied "Do you want me to take your food away then" to my shock I replied, "is that the right attitude to have to a customer", it is your job to address the issue not confront me with that attitude, " he then stormed off, . At this point my wife had no appetite to even eat her food. I then stopped my meal and went to find the girl who seated us to express what was happening, she then came back with this guy who in front of the girl was blatantly trying to argue with me aggressively saying " if your talking about me I want to know what your saying" this is totally unacceptable behaviour. I told the girl I was not happy paying the full bill as our night was ruined.

This waiter thought he was more important than the customer and even as we was walking out of the restaurant I tried to speak to someone with some authority and he came back over wanting to listen to my views & made us all feel very uncomfortable.

He wanted to argue his view, and stood with a painted condescending look "have a nice night sir" this guy should never be dealing with front of house with customers, moral of my story, if you are going to complain here be ready for a confrontation with this diva. Every summer, one of our most anticipated traditions is our visit to Scuna — and year after year, it never disappoints. In fact, it has become the place where we enjoy some of our most memorable fish dinners.

The fish here is always cooked to perfection. Alongside, the salads and appetizers are consistently fresh, vibrant, and full of taste. One thing is certain: the portions are more than generous.

And just when you think the experience couldn’t get any better, comes the cherry on top: we were offered a complimentary dessert, with the same generosity and care that runs through our whole dining experience.

My family and I tried to eat here recently.

Despite a beautiful setting and attractive restaurant area, we were completely forgotten about for almost 30mins before eventually deciding to leave.

As a party of 6 (4 adults, 1 child, 1 baby) we were seated at a table for four. After 10mins of standing and holding our baby, we eventually flagged someone ourselves to amend the table and bring a child seat. We were brought water and menus but then we're not seen again for a further 20mins for a drinks or food order before we decided to leave.

The restaurant had several tables seated but definitely wasn't 'busy'. Many waiting staff were floating and scanning the restaurant but still did not come over. The final straw was one waiter coming within 2-3m of our table to play with a local cat before walking away and ignoring us.
