I got back from this hotel a week ago and wish I was still there. The Pelion is a beautiful part of Greece and Aghis Ionnis is a very 'Greek' village. It's not a big village but has about 3 supermarkets, bakeries and plenty of restaurants. You certainly won't starve.||||The hotel is situated right at the end of the village where the road ends. It is set against a rock so well worth the extra for a sea view room, which is what we had. The road is narrow so the beach is right on the doorstep and nothing could beat the sound of the waves as you fell asleep at night.||||The room was lovely. The curtains had a separate blackout lining which is unusual for Greece as you often have a flimsy curtain which does nothing to keep the room dark. There was plenty of storage although the wardrobe could have done with more than 5 hangers. The bed was large (king size I think - 6') and very comfortable. It was made up with just a sheet but there was a duvet and blanket in the wardrobe. Also in the wardrobe was a mini fridge - but not particularly small - and a safe. The door onto the balcony was fitted with a very good insect screen that was so fine you almost couldn't see it.||||The balcony was spacious and had a table and 2 chairs and an airer for wahing/beach towels, etc.||||The bathroom was very modern and shower gel, shampoo/conditioner and a small bar of soap were provided, and replenished. The shower was always hot and had a hook on the wall (not always a hook!) and was in a proper shower enclosure and was powerful.||||Breakfast on the terrace was fantastic. The terrace is beautiful, looking on to the beach. Breakfast was very plentiful. Not if you enjoy a huge buffet with everything you can think of but certainly adequate for us. The 2 things that I didn't like though was that the 'boiling' water for the tea was in a kettle that had been boiled then left standing and the food that needed to be hot was in a stainless steel warmer that wasn't heated at all so the hot food quickly became cold. I had coffee from a machine and avoided the 'hot' food. I bought my own fruit juice because I can't stand the Greek stuff that is like squash.||||The staff were lovely especially Panos and Maria, the 2 people that we spoke to the most. ||||The beach is sandy and the hotel has umbrellas and sunbeds. It's 5 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella. I think it's a bit naughty charging guests of the hotel.||||For anyone getting to this hotel from Thessaloniki (we couldn't get a scheduled flight direct from the UK to Volos although Easyjet is doing this route for a limited time now) - it's about a 4 hour drive with tolls on the motorway at very frequent intervals. It only totalled about 12 euros each way but for ease, have...

Room is not like advertised in the photos included on their website which are photo edited. It was not nearly as nice !! The lobby with balcony where the breakfast buffet is served is nice. Breakfast is simple but adequate. But they charge extra if you order a cappuccino/ espresso. Their website is very misleading, not only is the quality of the rooms exaggerated but they show the hotel as sitting on the beach with just beautiful nature around it. However the photo advertisement was edited and they removed a very busy road full of cars that sits between the hotel and the beach. I don't understand why don't they show a realistic photo on their website instead of some fantasy photo. Finally for a hotel that advertises itself as a beach hotel, they charge extra to use their sunbeds/umbrellas . Unfortunately, it was disappointing and I would...

We came for a week. Great hotel with a small and lovely private beach. Staff is nice and friendly. Good basic Continental breakfast. Have to pay for coffee and hot choclate in addition. The hotel location is in the northest point of the Agios Ionnis vilage so it's close to Placa beach. 300 meters, Just a 5 min walk. The hotel is a 3 star hotel. For me i would for sure book again.💚💚💚💚💚

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Manthos Blue. The staff were so friendly, especially Stefanos who took care of us on the beach. The hotel was modern and very clean and our room was beautiful with the comfiest bed, fantastic shower and a perfect view of the sea.!! The hotel was situated in the most stunning location right on the beach. We could not have asked for more 😁

It was a nice experience in this hotel. The room is totally OK, clean, great job the young lady is doing by maintenance them. The breakfast at first glance looks to poor but its fine at the end. The beach is so close to the hotel and that’s is a wonderful thing. Young staff is running the hotel and by my opinion thats the key of success. The sea is so warm and wonderful.
