Papigo Villas — Hotel in Zagori Municipality

Charming stone house, clean and well equipped with good utensils and amenities provided.

We stayed in the first (red) villa for in early August, traveling as a family with our 7-month-old baby. The village itself is not very baby-friendly (no proper streets for strollers, etc.), but our main goal was simply to rest surrounded by nature.

However, during the summer the house is not prepared for the heat, as it has no air conditioning. Indoors it was around 27–29°C both during the day and at night, and the two fans provided were not powerful enough. The housekeeper, who was very kind and helpful, kindly brought us a third fan, which really made the difference for us to stay. Still, with a baby, both the days and nights were quite difficult.

In addition, being in the first villa, I felt there was a lack of privacy since the lower bathroom window opens directly toward the neighboring villa’s entrance, where people pass by and sit at the tables. Because of the heat, we had to leave the window open, which not only made us feel “exposed” but also brought in outside noise due to the proximity.

I had also read in reviews that there were items in the fridge for breakfast, but I believe this has changed. For us, there was nothing provided apart from a few basic spices — not even water.

We were two couples with two babies and stayed for 3 nights in Papigo Villas. The house was super clean, which was very important for us since we had our kids along with us! The beds are king sized and very comfortable and the towels are clean and fresh. Every day they tided up the place when we weren't there! The fridge was full with breakfast stuff and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for cooking! Mr. George was an excellent and polite host. We had an amazing time and we hope to visit again this...

It was great villa. Very spacious for family of 4. Unfortunately you sleep all together at one big room. Breakfast was great because you get products and you decide what to do with them. Amount of products above expectations. View from terrace is great, but public parking before the villa make it less greater. Sunset view is very beautiful from terrace.
