A great place for cooling off in high summer (when I suspect it gets busy at times) but otherwise a bit lacklustre. What you get to see depends a great deal on when you go and how much water there is. The first pools you encounter are manmade - dams hold the water back to create bathing areas, but when the sluices are open the water is pretty shallow. During the spring when the snow melts the pools get filled with water and you can even swim, if you endure the cold water. In autumn and it was already freezing.
