My wife and I stayed at the hotel in the middle of a 2-week vacation. When we arrived, my wife was sick (we think from food poisoning, but not from the hotel). The front desk was very helpful in getting her something to comfort her. When we entered our room, our first impression was that it was very nice. But we soon found out that the toilet did not work, not good when someone is sick. There was also no running water in the sink, and no cold water in the shower. The room had a whirlpool tub, which did have hot and cold running water. We were told that the whirlpool tub was on a separate water line, and that most likely all rooms on the same wing were facing the same problem with water to the bathrooms. We were also told there were no other rooms available, and that they would contact someone to take a look. After a couple of correspondences with hotel staff, we were told that someone would be there around 11:00 pm. In the meantime, my sick wife had to use the hotel basement restroom. Later in the evening we seen that the whirlpool tub had a spray bar, so we thought we could take showers in the tub. Needless to say, the knob to turn on the spray bar was broken so we couldn't use it. We ended up filling the tub with water to wash but noticed that a LARGE amount of chunky debris was coming out of the faucet. Not really sanitary in my opinion. It appears that there are serious issues with the plumbing at the hotel. Needless to say, the water problem and toilet were never fixed, so we asked the hotel for buckets. We filled them with water from the tub and poured them in the toilet to flush it.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that things happen, and we were on the unfortunate end of a bad situation. This is understandable. During check-out, we suggested that there should be some discount to the room given that we could use the bathroom. The person at the desk didn't know anything about the situation and said that she would need to have management contact me. All of my contact information, including e-mail was given, but we never heard back. This is the part that disappoints me. The lack of management response to a customer request is a clear sign that the hotel only cares about taking in revenue, not about the basic comforts for their guests.

I will also note that as others reported, we noticed peeling wallpaper in the room, weeds growing between the decking of the boardwalk around the pool, and other areas that lack maintenance.

As for the staff, everyone we encountered was very friendly and accommodating, especially the front desk and breakfast staff.

In summary, on the surface, this appears to be a really nice hotel, but in actuality it is in dire need of maintenance. If management wants the hotel to thrive, basic maintenance needs to begin and attention to guests needs to be made a priority. Even if the hotel didn't feel that a discount was warranted, management should have at least responded (out of respect for their guests), instead of simply...

Having just checked out of our delux suite with private pool we feel sad to be leaving this beautiful hotel. From the warmest welcome and the biggest goodbye this hotel offers the escape to Greece you wish for when escaping from your day to day life. The food is beyond anywhere we have ever been and as keen travellers, one meat lover and one vegetarian, we were both incredibly well catered for. Each 5 course menu with a choice of 3 from each course and as many of them as you can squeeze into your holiday tummy was divine. Such pretty food and full of flavour. As keen travellers we will be revisiting this hotel. With Rebecca, Crysta, Stametis and all the amazing staff who greet you with lovely smiles, your name and drink you like to enjoy.

For the explorers- We rented a quad for beach visits from Road Escapes just near the entrance (down the dusty road- 6 minute walk) visit Banana beach for amazing people watching, sports, lunch. Cabana beds, water sports and all the fun things a stunning beach can offer. Also, rent a boat to go over to turtle island and the caves. It’s so worth it! Don’t do a tour, drive your own it’s not that scary after all. We seen the turtles, grab water and fruit from the shop and anchor up. They will come to see you. We also hired a Fiat 500 convertible to drive the scenic route to the shipwreck. This is outstanding. I’ve ever seen anything so beautiful. You can’t go down there anymore due to land slides, it’s better by land for sure! Hiring your own transport is not expensive. A quad for the 24hrs is 70€ which beats a cab or coach.

Couples- If you are wishing to romantically dine out over a sunset I can’t recommend Porto Del Mar Restaurant. Food, atmosphere and surroundings were breath taking. A little garden area and water features complement your Greek escape. A short taxi journey so you can try their wine.

Workers- With 5G on the entire island working can be done from the front of your boat.

All in all this is the perfect relaxing & adventurous location for your Zakinthos stay.

Thank you to all the staff who we have developed heaps of love for.

The photos the hotel are using to advertise are VERY old. The hotel is extremely tired and desperately needs a renovation. ||There were several problems during our stay.|• Broken air-conditioning|• Broken shower|• Low water pressure from the shower|• Cold water from the shower|• The room safe did not work|• Power cut on one day|• Complete loss of water supply on one day|• Wallpaper peeing off in the room|• Poor state of floor covering in corridors and the room|• Poor state of skirtings in the room and corridors.|• Bulbs needed replacing in the ground-mounted room name things.|• Poor state of the decking around the pool.|We complained about the air conditioning daily. It was finally fixed on the last night of our stay. Other guests told us their air-conditioning was also not working. This prevented us from sleeping properly, which spoiled the holiday.|The shower was replaced after the first night. The low water pressure and cold water was not rectified during our stay. We felt like we couldn’t really wash properly.|The room safe had its batteries changed after the first night, this fixed the problem.|The general state of the hotel was not that of a 5-star. Most of the areas in the hotel needed refurbishment. The wallpaper, the flooring, the skirting all needed replacing. The names of each room were displayed in a lightbox, in the floor, by each room door; almost all had flickering bulbs in them. The area around the pool was clad in wooden decking, this we clearly very old, many parts were warped and sticking up unevenly, cleating multiple trip hazards.|The staff were, however, very friendly and attentive. The food we ordered on our first afternoon there was very nice.|On checkout I re raised all the complaints before paying our bill for the extras. I was told that I should pay for the extras and raise a complaint with booking on returning home. I graciously paid for the extras and I’m now...

We stayed at Elegance Luxury Suites Hotel for a week last year and couldn’t resist coming back again this year for another unforgettable week. This place is not just a hotel — it's truly a second home. The rooms and suites are exceptionally spacious, modern, and elegant, with thoughtful luxury touches like private pools and jacuzzis. The main swimming pool is stunning, perched on a hillside with panoramic sea views and some of the most vibrant, colorful sunsets you can imagine. The food is another level — every night a refined 5-course dinner that would rival a Michelin-starred restaurant. The level of detail and balance in the flavors is truly unforgettable. I could write pages about the craftsmanship behind every corner in the hotel, and it still wouldn’t be enough. But what makes this place truly magical is the people. The hotel staff are not just professional — they make you feel like family. They take care of every detail with such warmth and sincerity that you end up feeling humbled, wondering how you could possibly thank them enough for all the love and attention they give you. A very special shout-out to Chryssa, the incredible manager and truly the heart of the hotel. She is a blessing — an angel who embraces each guest with care, grace, and love. Also huge thanks to Rayhan and Stamatis — two outstanding professionals we will never forget. We've never experienced such kindness and dedication in hospitality before. We’re nearly in tears leaving today, but there’s no doubt — we’re coming back. Our deepest thanks to Sofia, Rania, Marianna, Daniel, Vlad, Zori, Irene, Costas, Yegor… and every single person who made this stay perfect. You are all part of this beautiful memory.

Short story: I just cannot understand some of the reviews about this place. We just spent 7 days here and we loved it. We have visited 5* on most continents so we know what the standard they are aiming at is. Service is exceptional and FRIENDLY, from the reception to the waiter, the bartender, the pool-bartender... the hotel is situated on a lush hill with breathtaking Sea view; it's quiet, peaceful. The area is a good base for exploring the island. Breakfast: varied, fresh eggs & omelets, fresh & delicious coffees (cappuccino, espressos, etc.) Lunch/dinner/snacks: everything that came out of their kitchen was really good and fresh. They will bring your food to the pool if you want to have a lunch by the pool, which was super nice. Cocktails: well they make really good old-fashioned, that's for sure :) Room: spacious, very comfy bed. Good housekeeping, beautiful sea view. Very quiet in the evening. Pool: it's really large, clean and the pool area is properly set up (umbrellas, showers, bar). I hit their gym a few times - it's pretty basic but their treadmill works great for a little run before hitting the pool :) You need a car if you're going to stay at this place and want to see some things; but in general I would say you need a car in zakynthos if you wanna do anything. I definitely recommend you stay at this hotel, we've had only good experiences there..
