My family and I embarked on a culinary adventure at this extraordinary restaurant, and the experience left us spellbound. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the stunning views of the beach, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.
Our delightful waitress, Valentina, welcomed us with a warm smile and exuded genuine warmth and hospitality throughout our dining experience. Her friendly and attentive nature made us feel like cherished guests, adding an extra layer of charm to our already magical evening.
To start our gastronomic journey, we indulged in a tempting array of starters that were a testament to the rich and vibrant flavors of Greek cuisine. The saganaki prawns were succulent and perfectly cooked, offering a delightful combination of fresh seafood and savory seasonings. The octopus on the grill was tender and infused with a smoky aroma that added depth to its already delightful taste. The garlic mushrooms were a heavenly delight, bursting with earthy flavors and complementing the other dishes beautifully. The Greek salad was a refreshing medley of crisp vegetables, tangy feta cheese, and aromatic herbs, showcasing the vibrant essence of Mediterranean flavors. And the courgette balls were a delightful surprise, offering a crispy exterior and a moist, flavorful interior that left us craving for more.
Moving on to the main courses, the Zeus plate I ordered was a true masterpiece. The souvlaki, lamb chops, and gyros were cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with savory flavors that transported me to the heart of Greek cuisine. Each bite was a symphony of taste and texture, highlighting the skill and dedication of the chefs. My wife's fresh sea bass was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality and freshness. The fish was impeccably cooked, flaky and moist, with delicate flavors that showcased the natural beauty of the sea. My father's lamb in lemon sauce was a revelation, with tender pieces of lamb bathed in a tangy and fragrant sauce that tantalized the taste buds. And my mother's spaghetti shrimp was a true delight, with al dente pasta and succulent shrimp tossed in a rich and flavorful sauce.
To conclude this culinary journey on a sweet note, we savored a lovely dessert recommended by the restaurant. Its divine flavors and artful presentation were a perfect finale to our unforgettable dining experience.
In addition to the exceptional cuisine, the ambiance and views offered by this restaurant were truly captivating. The idyllic setting, overlooking the beach, added a touch of romance and serenity to our evening, making it all the more enchanting.
In summary, our dining experience at this restaurant was an extraordinary voyage through the flavors of Greece. From the tantalizing starters to the mouthwatering main courses, every dish was a testament to the culinary expertise and dedication to quality. The attentive service provided by Valentina made us feel like cherished guests, elevating our experience to new heights. We left with hearts full of gratitude and memories that will last a lifetime.

Read moreMy partner and I went late night. The place was not busy. Upon arrival we were pointed over to a table. We were given a nice table with a great sea view. For starters we orders garlic mushroom, bread, hummus, stuffed vine leaves. The waiter started serving us a pizza and another dish which we did not order so we highlighted this and he took it back and then served the correct table (we understand mistakes do occur) starters arrived which were plentiful but rather bland. For mains my partner ordered bbq ribs. When placing the order she clarified with the waitress exactly what she wanted and the waitress confirmed bbq ribs are like we have in UK. I ordered a Restina Plate which stated on menu consisted of lamb chop, gyros and kebab. This was very dry, i was given a pork chop instead of a lamb chop and the portion was tiny- see the photos ! My partners order arrived and it was clearly not bbq ribs. We raised this with the waitress who stated the dish was bbq ribs and that is how they were in Greece. It was late and we were hungry so my partner at the dish. Part way through she felt sick so we decided to leave. The meat was very very fatty and cheap cuts. The waitress asked how the meal was we said it was not nice and my partner feels sick. This was ignored and no apologies. When adding the bill up it transpired that they had served my partner pancetta rather than ribs. Very disappointed by the service and tasteless food. Whilst we appreciate it was late and they may not have had some dishes they should have told us this so we could have chosen something else. I was in two minds about writing this review however it’s 07:00am here and we have both woken up with upset stomach and diarrhoea. Low quality, fatty cuts of meat, staff are...
Read moreAmboula restaurant is a must come during your trip to Zakynthos. My girlfriend and I came here twice and we had an unbelievably magical experience. For our first date we had as starter: fried kalamari with fries, for our main course, I had fried red snapper and my girlfriend had fried shrimp with garlic. The red snapper was the fish of the day and it was delicious, the meat was fresh, and the taste of the olive oil made a 10/10 experience. My girlfriend's shrimp was to die for. Juicy, oily (in the right way) and the garlic oil that it was served on was unbelievable.
For our second date, we had the same but I had this time the risotto with shrimp. It was delicious, the riosotto was very nicely cooked, very delicate and capture the flavours of the shrimp. The shrimp again did not disappoint.
The top both nights off, we were offered a delicious...
