Our kids loved this beautiful beach and it was very close to where we were staying, so we found ourselves at this lovely taverna on a number of occasions across the 2nd week of our trip.

With uninterrupted views across to Cephalonia and the beach scene below it was a perfect little place to decompress, chill and add fuel when the need arose!

Charming Spiros and his team were so warm and welcoming each time we arrived. Incredible hospitality.

Ice cold draught Mythos on arrival. Perfect. The extra tasty tzatziki and Skordostoumbi - Zakynthos’ traditional garlic aubergine dish - were excellent. Really good homemade dishes. Loaded with flavours of the med.

Kids loved the souvlaki chicken and pork and wife and I loved the calamari and the grilled octopus with split pea purée.

Heaven on a plate served by gorgeous smiling Greeks making you feel at home. Seriously...

Lovely setting, right by the beach. If you want to ensure you have a beach edge seat would recommend a reservation possibly. Staff are friendly and attentive, prices are reasonable, and a good selection of dishes to choose from to suit most people. The star of the show for us was the Traditional Baked Aubergine (its in the starters or veggie dishes), its so delicious that we had to come back to have this again, and since been researching how we can make this at home. The fish dishes are great, especially the sardines, and the gyros are a great lunch time snack if you're spending the day at the beach. Would recommend if you like great views...

A beautiful bar/restaurant right down on the beach. We rented sunbeds (€10 for the day I think) and had a few cold beers which you could take down to the beach to drink. We didn't eat - although the food looked great- but they did ice lollies and crisps etc for kids also which came in useful for family days down at the beach. Draught beer (Mythos) was suitably cold - the frosted glasses are a nice touch. We'll come back for food next time as it's a great setting looking out over the...
