We have been to Greece many times and don't expect luxury but these apartments were dreadful. We were on the third floor overlooking the air conditioning unit of the pool snack bar. I use the word snack bar loosely as we didn't see it open once in the three days we stayed. The resort is very, very quiet, only a handful of restaurants and one run down bar which seemed to have no customers so it would have been pleasant to sit out with a glass of wine or a cool beer in the evening but there was never anyone around to ask. |I know the owners had just had their fourth baby an can appreciate that they must be tired but this does not excuse them not providing clean towels. The apartment was self catering and from experience I know this means an electric hob but I don't expect the plug to be hanging out of the wall and dangerous. |The apartments could be so much nicer so if the owners ever read this here are a few suggestions:|1 Smile when a guest greets you.|2 invest in decent mattresses and at the very least mattress protectors. You could also tighten the screws on the beds so they don't feel like they are about to collapse.|3 change the dirty towels.|4 provide at least a cloth to wipe round the kitchen area and a tea towel. A dustpan and brush or a broom is almost always available too so that guests can sweep up sand from the floor.|5 just an idea but a cupboard might be useful. The only cupboard was under the sink and it wasn't very nice. |6 open the snack bar occasionally or have an hour ir so in the evening where guests can buy a drink.|7 keep a few leaflets or a map and speak to your guests about the beautiful island you live in. Tourists like to feel welcome and would value your knowledge.||It is also worth mentioning that the resort is not 1.5km away from the next nearest resort. Luckily we had a car and we picked up several lost guests from Ammoudi who were walking the 4 Km to Alikanas. We checked the distance. ||We left the apartments three days into our week long holiday and found an apartment a bit further up the road which was still a typically Greek basic apartments but a million times nicer. ||I don't like to leave a negative review but sadly with so much potential the Kozanos was an epic fail and I would advise Pepe...
Read moreWe spent 10 days at Kozanos Suites for our babymoon, and overall, it was a lovely and peaceful stay. We booked through Booking.com about six months in advance and got an amazing deal — especially considering that every suite comes with its own private pool!
The photos online looked great, and upon arrival (late at night), we were warmly welcomed by a friendly lady at reception who stayed late just to check us in. There’s a small parking area right next to the suites, which is super convenient if you’re traveling much luggage.
The suites themselves are spacious — we came as a couple but had room for four, including a large bed and two smaller ones. The private terrace and pool are small but cozy and perfect for relaxing. Daily housekeeping is included, with fresh towels, bed making, and sheet changes when needed.
The suite also has a small kitchen, a large fridge stocked with water, juice, and even a bottle of wine — a nice touch! Everything was clean and tidy.
Do keep in mind: the hotel is in the quiet village of Ammoudi, which doesn’t offer much in terms of beaches or attractions, so having a rental car is absolutely necessary. If you plan to explore the island or visit Zante Town, nearby beaches, or larger supermarkets, a car will give you the flexibility you need.
All in all, it’s a great spot if you’re looking for peace, privacy, and value for money — especially for couples...
Read moreWe stayed in a suite with a private pool, it was idyllic, exactly what we needed for a holiday of complete relaxation. The rooms and surroundings were immaculate and spotless. However... I was absolutely appalled by a couple of things that I noticed regarding animals at the hotel. First off was a gold fish on the reception desk. It was in a bare container about 2 inches in depth, maybe 6 inches high and wide and it was struggling. I mentioned it to be met by a blank stare by the owner. It remained on the desk for a few days before it disappeared. I assume the poor thing died. Then we noticed a bird cage sat atop a drink fridge out by the bar in 32° heat and thought at first it must be empty, then I saw a tiny head pop up and I asked the young man behind the bar if there were birds in there. He said yes. I asked if they had water. He said no. I asked if he would get them some. He then took the cage down gave them water and put them in the reception area. An improvement but I never once saw food in their cage. Then on our last day as we were leaving we noticed a lovely big tortoise that had been placed in a dusty bare brick planter with nothing to graze on and about 6ft x 2ft of space, it was trapped there. I loved the place but will never understand humans devoid of humanity. As lovely as it was there I would never return. My 3 stars are for cleanliness of the rooms and the...
