Mersina Apartments — Hotel in Zakynthos Municipality

Very friendly owner Laura was welcoming and provided a lot of information about the town and services, tours etc. The suite was older, but clean with A/C, a bathroom and a small kitchenette. The location is very close to the markets, restaurants and about 5-7 min walk to the beach. For the price, this place is worth it, especially if you’re booking directly with the owner. Also, Laura manages Keri Cave boat tours, 25 euros per person, offered twice daily. Captain Dimitri took us to the Marathonissi island / beach, we actually spotted a sea turtle as well, then we sailed around and through the caves in a couple of places. He then took us to a secluded beach, accessible by boat only, for a 20 min swim, before returning to Keri. We went on a smaller boat at 3 pm (later in a day). The boat had about 10 people aboard. It was not hard to take videos and photos and actually see out of the boat that was not crowded. The boat rides at noon are a bit busier and more crowded.
