Taverna Nicolas — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

We didnt eat here, but it came recommended for a boat rental from the owner of our rental villa. The rental spot is right in front of the Taverna. Tomas and Nicolas were very helpful and accomodating. We did a 6 hour rental but were out a little long because the waters were so amazing. Boat was well equipped and there is a large range of the Laguna you can explore (from the lighthouse to the ruin island, including Keri Caves and Turtle Island). 15 ft center console with 30 hp Yamaha 4 stroke and a 15 hp reserve and a decent anchor. Seems like all the good reviews are not valid anymore. The ordered pizza was just a pita bread with tomato and cheese topping and way too expensive for the value. Gyros was ok, but also way too expensive compared to other places next door with better quality. Waiter was absolutely lazy and showed not the lightest interest in us as being guests and customers. We had to actively call him for each order and he never cleaned the table. When going to the toilet we realized that the entire restaurant is a complete mess. This place is amazing! We went here for 2 out of the 4 nights we were in the area because it was just that good! The gyros were wonderful and I had some family members get the seafood souvlaki and they said that was fantastic as well. The calamari is a great appetizer too! The view of the water is amazing and the service and owners were so friendly and kind to us! It was a very nice atmosphere and they have their cats there laying around that are adorable too!
