I booked this hotel because it looks modern and well-equipped. The location is really excellent as it is in the middle of the happening Zona 4 with tons of restaurants and cafés nearby. The room itself was quite small for the price you pay. Here are my positives: Great location Really cute balcony with great views and lots of green Very big and comfortable bed Some little amenities are appreciated. There is water, tea, coffee and shower gel etc. The shower is good.
Here are my negatives: Music blaring out of speakers right by the balconies is annoying Very bad internet in the rooms The reading lamp didn't work I found a long black hair on my bed sheets The plugs next to the bed are hidden under an unnecessarily heavy wooden cover. Not sure what the point is of this Often, when I walked in or out, staff members was busy playing games on their phones. One guy didn't even bother to look up. Unacceptable.
I wouldn't stay here again even if the location was great. The rooms are too cramped and you can hear noise from...
Read moreGood choice overall. Had to check in a little late, and they were cool with it . The check-in process was smooth, the room was clean, and offered multiple towels, shampoo, body wash, and even a hairdryer. You are welcomed with some water and some coffee which you can prepare yourself. The balcony ( which you have to choose that room ) is pretty good. You have a nice view, and overall, it felt like the right choice, price, safety, and comfortability were great. I stayed there for 2 days and there's a restaurant right beside the rooms (BACAN), it was really nice , but really expensive, paid 4 dollars for a bottle of water , wich outside you can find it for a 4th part of that price , it is really convenient, but pricy. I asked the locals, and they said it was a safe area, plus you have another restaurant right besides reception ( wich i didn't notice) and a shopping center right...
Read moreWe have lived in Guatemala for years. Zone 4 is my happy place. I love all of the places to eat, drink and people watch. Super safe area. Lively and artistic with the university there. The walking streets aren't long but they are awesome! The hotel is located close to everything! The staff are awesome and so helpful. Everyone was bilingual. The rooms are cute and fun. If you have ever been sucked down the rabbit hole of tiny houses on YouTube try a stay here and have a similar experience. The rooms are super clean and no mold. Feels slightly asian inside to me. We also like staying here because they support the blind school. I'm legally blind and I like helping. If you are low vision this can be a tricky hotel. The black light switches on black walls and beautiful but dim lighting makes a great mood but hard for us low vision folks. For anyone with normal vision you will...
