We rang the doorbell at the entrance gate and were let in by a friendly security guard. We were asked to sign the guest book, but there was no fee to enter. We went for the garden, but the museum part was surprisingly impressive! It felt strangely abandoned, but there was good information, a large insect collection, a great geology section, and a whole journey through the evolution of species. Also, the botanical garden was delightful! We were there for a couple of hours and were only visitors for the majority of the time. I think the place deserves more attention and appreciation. Upon leaving, I tried to offer to pay, but they wouldn't take any money. There was an explanation, but I didn't understand Spanish at the time. Anyway, it was interesting, and I highly recommend it.
