Hotel La Casa de Nery — Hotel in La Ceiba

A friend and I were driving from Tegucigalpa to La Ceiba and knew we needed to find a place to stay in Ceiba that night. I used a travel search engine and liked the look of La Casa de Nery for its location, price and example photos.||||After booking online, the owner Nery emailed me almost immediately asking if we'd need transportation from the ferry or airport. We were having to take my car to a shipyard for overnight transport to Roatan, and I replied to Nery letting him know that. Right away, he offered to lead us to the shipping company and then back to the hotel. And upon arriving to the hotel, we did just that. He went above and beyond to help us out with that.||||The hotel property is large and open - an expansive porch with comfortable seating and tables runs the length of the room area. And it looks out on an interesting, manicured grass area and pool, set just off the beach with a great view of the ocean.||||The very large room had two queen-sized, really comfortable beds with a high ceiling, big windows, a large TV, air conditioning and original wood furniture. The bathroom was also quite large with a beautiful shower that had plants and allowed rain water to flow in to the corner section. Really nice.||||There was a minibar with a selection of bottled water and soft drinks, plus various candies and cookies. The prices to have any of these were just normal prices! Very unusual for most hotels I've seen and very much appreciated.||||We only stayed for one night before heading to the Bay Islands, but we picked a great hotel for a good night's sleep after a tiring drive. I'll definitely stay there again if...

...the reason we use this hotel,everytime we come into La Ceiba for shopping, or to make connections for our flights in and out of San Pedro Sula..........is it is like our second home. Here we are treated like family by Nery, his family and his mother....|It has secure parking provided, rooms are lovely and big....with a bar fridge ( only soft drinks, iced tea, water etc. but also snacks in room you can purchase ) Breakfast is included......there are only 6 rooms.....all with 2 large beds, amazing showers and very comfortable beds...always spotlessly clean...with daily room service. We always book ahead on the computer or phone Nery, the owner. There are also two cabanas( small houses ) that are available close to the pools and ocean shore. Bring along your swim suit.....enjoy sitting on the patio outside of the rooms, with a book or your computer. Nery is always ready and willing to offer help and a few years ago.....he took us for a drive to visit Pico Bonitos. Wonderful. He is very fluent in English also, which is a huge help to us Canadian travellers. No restaurant there......BUT just a couple minutes walk out the gate and to ur right is La Vela....good food, great atmosphere,...

My husband and I stay at La Casa de Nery every time we visit La Ceiba. If you are seeking peace, tranquility, and total solitude away from it all, you can beat La Casa de Nery. This establishment is centrally located in La Ceiba along the sea with access to local restaurants, and nightlife. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a warm smile by the owner, family, and staff. The grounds a truly breathtaking with the beautiful trees, plants, swimming pool, and peacocks. We always rent the same bungalow which faces the swimming pool and the sea. I always look forward to the wonderful breakfast that is served on the porch of our bungalow every morning while to wonderful cleaning crew tidy our sleeping quarters. We will always be loyal to La Casa de Nery when visiting La Ceiba because the owner takes privacy very seriously of his clients…which is what my husband and I expect...
