I had a terrible experience at Hotel 314. I mistakenly selected the room with no AC for $27 (an easy oversight as the pictures show AC unit in the room). I accept the blame for missing that detail. However, I asked to be upgraded to the room with AC which was advertised at $37/night. The receptionist insisted that it costs an extra $30, which is double the cost of the original room! I walked a few blocks away to Hotel Italia and got a much nicer room with AC, a double bed, and a stress free check in process for $24! Hotel 314 will try to squeeze more money out of you, especially if you are a foreigner in Honduras. However, I highly recommend Hotel Italia for travelers...
