We came in a group for a mission trip on the last week of June 2017. This was our best location to our trip place... The hotel will arrange most of your needs, you have a cafeteria, for your breakfast which most of the time is included in some rooms. They can also make a supreme one if arrange before. To answer questions I had before my trip of this hotel here I have: The hotel water for your showers have hot water... but usually very early in the mornings , also if the hotel is booking is high you will have some days with cold water, make sure you turn first only the hot water first completely.. it most be completely till the knob stops and then let it run for some minute... then you may start turning it down and turning your Cold water knob. About the A/C in the rooms was another confusion point for me.; so since we came in a group I had no control on the rooms selected but if you do so there is option... No A/C which are cheaper but have a fan in every room, and others do have a window unit or A/C console for the higher stories. The hotel is an old historic one so the walls are very thing and most of the noises are very well heard... the voices, the doors and even the steps. Best places to stay if looking for more quiet rooms .. first of all the 3 floor... is the best one. We had arrange a buffet breakfast because we traveled as group every morning( awesome Hot breakfast) the staff is just amazing, always liking how to help you. Clean towels every day and you will have a pitcher of refined water in every room to rinse your teeth and or drink if you are not local and adjusted to Honduras water. Best room the ones in the middle or center of the hotel; The higher the better although there is No elevator. Our room 125 was just in front of stairs and almost corner to Main Street and since it had No a/c but a fan during daytime is very noisy. Avoid this room if looking to relax during daytime; although at nigh the noise shuts all. During Saturday's and Sunday's there is party and music surrounding the hotel so it will be noisy aprox till midnight. If you are looking for a fun, culture knowledge and close to all historic site this hotel room s the best deal and location you will find with just the best staff you will find in...
Read moreThe staff was what I liked most here, they were so helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help me. Perhaps because I am originally from an exotic land in Asia. The room I had was a King, so it was ample in space. The ac worked great. I had a window overlooking the pool. The tv was very good. The bathroom was great with hot water and comfortable to move around. The sheets were cleaned daily and towels changed. The location was not the greatest, plenty of homeless people and shady characters hanging around. A police station right around the corner, but doesn't guaranty safety. Nothing pleasant at night to walk around, but during the day it is filled with businesses and it can be exciting. There are lovely plazas and parks nearby. Excellent pharmacies nearby. The Museum of National Identity was a few blocks away, the church Dolores was around the corners as well. Great swimming pool in the hotel.
No hair dryer. No elevators, had to walk up 6 flights of steps. Nothing nearby to do after 10 P.M. Homeless people and shady characters around the block. The restaurant looks so old and dilapidated, you feel unclean in there. The included free breakfast is so inadequate, I had to always buy extra.
The set up of this hotel is really quaint and gives you a local flavor with a certain elegance. The lobby was small but very tastefully decorated. The pool and the courtyard were comfortable with mosquito nets covering it. The rooms were comfortable, the air worked well, the sheets were clean and the pillows were comfortable. Hot water was delightful in the bathroom. The breakfast crew is fabulous and provide a great local flavored breakfast. Perfect location to get to the nearby Galeria mall, Walmart opening up few blocks away, and the grocery store. A Wendy's two blocks away.
The AC blew right on to my face in the room, it had no opening to the outside world, it was an inner room. The bathroom was reasonably nice, the lights were so dim to be able to see one's self in the mirror....
Read moreGreat family hotel. Clean rooms, decent breakfast, and a pool area that had additional open space for my kids to run around and burn off energy. Misson groups would love this hotel because there's also a lot of comfortable seating in the lobby area. We stayed in two different rooms. We had a smaller room without air conditioning. The weather was cooler so we didn't need it anyways. The reason we came to Teguc unexpectedly caused us to stay longer so we were moved to a larger room with air conditioning and a small somewhat balcony. I noticed the wifi was weaker in this room probably because it was closer to the road. If wifi is really important to you, make sure it's a room more toward the inside of the building. And if you're sensitive to the city noise, get one more inside the building as well. The staff were professional and very kind to us. They provide laundry service at a very affordable rate! The location was within walking distance to a grocery store, some parks with gorgeous historical churches, and many shopping stores. We never went out after dark, only in the morning and early afternoon, and felt pretty safe the whole time. If we have to stay in Teguc again, I will definitely pick this hotel, and plan on promoting it to my...
