Hotel Granada 2 — Hotel in Tegucigalpa

If I'm honest I wouldn't go out of your way to visit Tegucigalpa. It's a sprawling, busy, polluted and not very safe place. However, it is a major transport hub so if you get stuck here for a night Hotel Granada 2 is a really good choice. Double rooms are 450L ($22.50) which are clean, private bathroom, WIFI and cable TV. We looked at local hostels but were really surprised at their prices for private rooms so decided to try Hotel Granada 2. It was a real winner. Clean basic private with bathroom, towels, cable TV, wifi in the lobby, free water and coffee all day, two free modern computers and a decent cafe across the road for brekky. Nice big city hotel. Our room was clean, showers good and warm. It had a tv and fan. The room was smallish, but perfectly comfortable, particularly for the price. Wireless internet made it to our room in the back of the hotel. No atmosphere, but perfectly good for the two days we spent exploring the city.
