As a Dutch family, we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marina in Balatonfüred. The location is simply perfect – right on the lake with a private beach and plenty of shade under the trees. Our kids loved the pools, mini-golf, and the safe shallow water of Lake Balaton. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist. The all-inclusive food and drinks were good, with plenty of variety, though sometimes a bit too salty for our taste. Snacks and drinks during the day made it easy to stay on the property without worrying about meals. The rooms are quite small and a bit dated, but they were clean and comfortable for a few nights. We were mostly outside enjoying the garden, beach, and activities, so this was not a big problem for us. Evening entertainment is nice for young kids, but if you have teenagers, there might be less to do for them. Overall, we had a very relaxing family holiday and would recommend Hotel Marina for anyone looking for an easy, affordable all-inclusive stay at Lake Balaton.

Very nice place to stay in Balatonfured. The hotel has its own beach, with many facilities, there is a pool, sauna, massages. The best thing that it’s all inclusive, so everything is in the price expect the sauna, massages and the beach facilities. There is a beach restaurant with drinks, ice cream and food, which is all included in the price of the room. The room which I was in is not that big, but it’s cosy and modern. The view is very nice. It’s located 15-20 mins of walking from the city centre, where are all the cafes and restaurants. The check-out is pretty early, at 10am, and if you want to stay a bit longer even 30 mins, you have to pay 4000 huf.

The hotel has exceeded our expectations big time. We have booked one of their suits with a balcony,if you can, just do book that it worths it. The view was amazing! Huge, comfy bed, nice clean rooms. The staff was extremely helpful. The food was good and plenty of options. I am celiac and I had a good selection. We were happy with the selection of drinks. Indoor and outdoor dining options. It has a little beach side bar as well. The hotel has a private garden with an excellent pool for the kids and access to the lake. Hotel Marina, thank you for everything, we will come back!

I used to come here with my parents, we came back every year and I loved it here! After not being there for 5 years, I came back for the first time this year with my boyfriend! The rooms are modern, only a small bathroom, but I don't mind that as you only go there to wash and go to the toilet. We had a leak in the sink and it was repaired the day we went to tell you! Too bad that the parking has also become chargeable as it is not underground or covered, but there is a guard who is always super friendly and always says hello with a big smile and makes us cheerful! Too bad you can't eat anything downstairs after 5 p.m. The restaurant is open until 9:30 PM and after that you can't eat anything, which is a shame for an all-in hotel! Maybe some chips or salami or a dessert or even a piece of fruit downstairs? When you walk in the park you see nothing but children peeing everywhere! Yesterday a child shouted 'I'm going to do pee', he just stood in the public shower in the garden and peed in the shower, the mother had also heard this and did nothing about it! Also that day a child was peeing in front of the entrance to the outdoor swimming pool! Furthermore, there are many parents who let their child urinate anywhere and guide them in this, recently a mother had her child do poop at the entrance to the lake! This is all disgusting and I think it is a shame that this is not more strictly controlled because when you walk barefoot you don't know whether you are walking in lake water or urine, really very dirty and a shame that some people can be so disrespectful while there are toilets in the park! Too bad the swimming pool closes at 6pm, especially in a hotel! Too bad that the play equipment downstairs also has a fee and is not cheap! Too bad that everything that can be fun for older people to do has to pay a fee! This hotel is very child-friendly, but for older people there is not much to do unless you have to pay! Entertainment for older people is also certainly possible, such as water games in the lake or morning exercises,... this used to be the case and is no longer the case! There is also very little to do in the evening! In the evening you can enjoy an aperitif that is free of charge! Upstairs you can drink a cocktail for a fee, which I understand is a fee, but it's a shame that you pay almost 1 euro for service costs! Furthermore, it is wonderful that you have such a large lake and a large garden with lots of shade and certainly enough sun loungers! The garden is watered every day! Tables are cleaned every time! Cutlery left on the table that is unused is usually taken away! The elevators are cleaned often, as are the floors and terraces! It's a pity that the restaurant is always very busy and that many people pick up the food with their hands and then put it back, can attention be paid to this? Hygiene is excellent everywhere and there is a lot of cleaning! It's a pity that almost everything has to pay! The lifeguards do their job very well and keep a close eye...

Pluses +||||+ Danubius Bubbles club a children place (playground) to play, like a kindergarten||+ Lots of space available||+ 3 elevators||+ 11 levels||+ Great view from almost every room||+ Very clean inside almost everywhere||+ Restaurant all inclusive with 3 meals a day and snaks almost all day (between meals if you are not around during breakfast, lunch and dinner); lots of food you cannot get bored (in my opinion)||+ Highspeed internet almost everywhere inside and outside||+ Good price 95 euro/night (we stayed 5 nights)||+ Inside pool 25 meters with 4 lanes for swiming + sauna (included in the price of the room)||+ Outside pool for fun and for kids||+ Big parking (I thing 100 cars can park there, and 10 buses)||+ Nice grass beach||+ Videogames for kids (at least 10 equipments)||+ Pool table||+ Some alcohol drinks included||+ Air Conditioning (Heat and Cooling)||||Minuses -||- Cold in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner (I didn't understand why it was so cold); only one day it was warm; in the rest of the days very very cold; food was very good but I had to go far away from the restaurant after eating||- Very small bathroom||- Lobby bathroom smelly and not very good ventilated|| - Clean the room was the sign on the door "change the towells" it is written that if you want the room to be "refreshed" put the "change the towells sign" on the door; what happened? Besides fresh towells, nothing. No cleaning was made in the room. We had to stay in squalor; we were in a hotel where we payed others for acomodation, to be kept clean. We were not at home where we have broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, etc; I've asked at the reception how many times a week they clean the room? They answered " Daily" I'm sorry but that is a lie; The receptionist told me that he'll send someoane to clean right away but I've told him that we just arrived and we want to rest, and to send someone tomorrow after breakfast when we were out 6-7 hours during the day; nothing happend; in the 4th day came the cleaning lady and cleaned the room but it was to late because the next day we were gone|| - water temperature in the piscine 28 dgr C; good if you want to swim as a sport, to be in shape; but if you go with a small child (4-5 years old the child is cold, and shivers; that's what happened to our child)||||Conclusion: I would...

There were so many things wrong with this hotel. The "superior" triple room was a space barely larger than the beds. There was nothing superior about it. There were no toiletries, outside of the shower gel and shampoo in the shower. The towels were of poor quality. The hallways looked like it was a prison with doors to each cell. The food was not only terrible, obviously the cheapest quality of everything, but they were mislabeled with allergens, leading you to believe that foods marked as safe would be. But upon further questioning, the French fries were cooked in the same oil as fish, which was not labeled, and would have caused an anaphylactic reaction in my child. Beyond the duplicitous labeling, the food was unappetizing looking and tasted worse (gray hamburger patties, pancakes that looked anemic, palacsinta that was thick and flavorless, the ice cream was of a cheap quality). The self serve coffee machine was crawling with flies - imagine the food. For being an all inclusive resort, you had to pay for a lot of the things on offer-the coffee bar cost money, the arcade cost money, the trampoline and the blow up toy in the lake all cost money. The free ping pong table was in rough shape. The staff were at best indifferent but mostly rude and snobby. When I asked if there was a way to get to the boat harbor besides walking, the lady behind the desk was scoffing at me that I can't walk 15min. When in reality, with little kids, it's more like 15-20 each way minimum. And having to make that trip multiple times a day so that we could get a quality meal added up. The pool with the slide was awesome, except there wasn't a place to sit down. Day after day I went out there and stood for over an hour before a single bed become available. I saw families take up 4 beds with their towels and leave for lunch or the room or wherever, not giving up their beds even if no one was using them. The hotel does...
