Appalling. Avoid like plague. Spiders' web, dusty room, dirty headboard, outdated bathroom. Had to basically ask for toilet paper each evening. Bathroom sink was blocked from hair and stuff. Restaurant was non-functional. Couldn't even provide a soft drink, only tea or coffee. No food was available there. Heater was turned down and radiator was cold when it was sub zero temperatures outside. Heating didn't provide enough warmth even after repeated requests to turn it up. In comparison the radiator in the lobby / at the reception was hot. Had to explain 'special request' for an extra towel (only 1 was provided per person and needed to wash my hair). To sum it up, it wasn't a pleasant stay. Paid £498 for 10 nights for 2 persons. Account was charged 2 months before (!) the stay. Stop lying about free breakfast in replies! We didn't get any! You didn't offer a room change! You also didn't come upstairs to even check the heating! The window was closed - why would we open it when it was already freezing cold in the room?! If you ever libel us again we'll seek legal advice. We didn't argue in the hotel. So stop lying!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Gloria. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly speaking perfect English, and the cleaning staff were attentive and accommodating when we required extra towels or toilet paper. The rooms are priced very fairly for what you get - just be aware that the standard rooms do not come with air conditioning. However the hotel did provide us with a large fan which was much appreciated. Another thing to be aware of is that it’s a pet friendly hotel so you may hear dogs barking every now and then, however we did not hear this during late evening hours when trying to sleep. The neighbourhood itself is extremely quiet and peaceful. We felt safe walking around and appreciated the hotel’s proximity to local transport stops. There is also a peaceful outdoor/garden area which you can use to relax outside. I would stay again!

We are very satisfied with our stay in the hotel. The room was very clean, neat and smells good. The staff at check-in and check-out were very friendly. Parking provided in front of the hotel. Breakfast is very varied, all the food was delicious. Near the hotel there is a metro station that takes you to the city center. All in all a pleasant stay at the hotel.

We recently got back from this 3"hotel". What an absolute shambles, a prison cell is in better condition then the room we received even after complaining to the night lad on reception on the first night we still were not moved or accommodated better. We have stayed in 1 star hotels better then this place its a disgrace and should not be advertised at all. The dirt amongst walking into the room was disgusting and set of my partners asthma from dust. We left the do not disturb sign on the door while we were out and came back to see they had entered the room against our wishes. I asked for an extra pillow due to disability and was given a dirty used pillow 15minutes after asking. The only good thing about the place is location it's very easy access to the metro and bus and tram. The food is basic contenatal water down juice, bread, meats and cheese. The only hot food on offer was boiled eggs and mini hot dog sausages. Normally all we need is a good bed to sleep on in hotels as we are out and about as much as possible however it didn't even grant that to us. We were given a basic board couch with worn down mattresses on them, due to the price €77 per night for a double room I'd at least expect some proper type of bed to sleep on. The whole place is completely outdated and could do with some refurbishments. The place to eat is lovely to sit in and that's about it. The TV in our room (15) was dangerous with a loose wire hanging out from the back of it. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely not, however I didn't let this place ruin our trip away as we got engaged while there so it was the least of my problems. However if you are looking for some place nice to stay I'd recommend the millennium Hotel around the corner it's €60 per night with alot more offerings for people including a bar and sauna, plus much friendlier staff. Oh and by the way the staff don't like complaints they get very defensive so be...

AREA: Little mom and pops run motel in center city. A bit of a walk to nearest subway station which we didn't mind but had our guard on when walking back in the evening. The neighborhood goes dead quiet and can feel a bit haunting. Now i will mention the good and the bad in all fairness: ROOMS: are clean, bedding is clean, bathrooms were gross, don't expect mini shampoo bottles just a soap provided. They will tend to you if you ask

No safebox and no fridge! This was definitely a problem for us regarding our money/ passports and also perishable snacks.

SERVICE: was good. staff were helpful and accommodating when we communicated with them. They changed our room due to a broken bed. They provided extra towels and even a blow dryer which i found a nice gesture.

BREAKFAST: was acceptable and available as an add-on option (€8) although it was the same thing in our 7 days, the milk stays out long without cooling and one morning i discovered spoiled cucumbers which was unappetizing. ++ BUT there's espresso at least and it saved me.

WI-FI: as advertised is sorta false. Nearly no room is in range and only the lobby receives any bars. So we had to walk down for connectivity and we'd lose it up in the room. But free it was.

STAFF: They will give you a map, directions, helpful tips and hints, storage room, extra checkout time if you ask nicely Building is old and they try to keep it lively, windows didn't lock in either of the two rooms but we didn't particularly have a safety concern. On the plus side, they had a person on night shift awake and available and they locked the doors...
