The food was good, not great. We ordered a nice wine, a bikaver reserva. They brought out a very similar wine (but a cheaper version) and served it straight up without allowing me to taste it first. I noticed it wasn't the reserve that we ordered and I told the waitress. She said she couldn't understand. Then the manager came and eventually accepted that it wasn't the wine we ordered. He said he would bring us the correct wine. He came back and said they did not have the reserve in stock. So as not to be awkward we said we would take the one given to us. When the bill came we were charged for the reserva. I pointed this out to the manager. He changed the price, but on the new bill it didn't have the name of the wine they served us. He told us that wine 'wasn't on their system'. So why would they serve a wine that isn't on their system? It seems to me they are knowingly ripping the customer off. To be balanced, the food was good and the service was pretty fast so 2 stars is generous considering the...

So far The best chinese restaurant i’ve tried in my europe trip, the food was tasty, fried rice was perfect not greasy, got wok hei. Sichuan Pork well executed can taste the real sichuan pepper, wonton filling also juicy and can smell the sesame oil from the broth. the only thing can be improved was the service, the staff was chit chatting at the bar, gotta stand up and ask for additional napkins and also when i asking for the bill, no one notice (i raise my hand and end up standing up again and ask for it) Lastly was the “Tips” it’s automatically charged by the cashier 15% from total spending, prob ard 1200 huf WITHOUT telling the guest first, its in hungarian language that we dont understand, so i ask and they tell me it was Tips( i also own a restaurant in my country and in hospitality industries its normal to give Tips as a gratitude, but we never charged tgt with the bill in our own language to trick or scam the foreigners)

well anw i still pay it all and just thinking as a...

the first time we entered this restaurant, on a Friday evening, we liked it so much that we decided to come again. The second time, however, on a Saturday night, it was the exact opposite :) If the first evening the service was excellent, the second evening it was a total disaster: the waiter didn't know English and didn't understand what we wanted to order, she brought the appetizers last, and after bringing the first dishes...she simply disappeared. After waiting a long time to get hold of someone, we were told about 2 times that what we want to order takes at least 20 minutes :)) So we also gave up the dessert and the food we wanted to take away.

Fortunately, the food is very good, the portions are generous, and the prices are decent.

In conclusion, it all depends on how lucky you are...

Taiwan Restaurant was a fantastic find for anyone craving authentic Taiwanese or Chinese cuisine. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch, with the entire staff speaking fluent English, which made ordering easy and pleasant. We tried a variety of dishes, including the vegetable dumplings, sautéed beef with vegetables, fried rice, lamb chops, and the highlight – the Peking duck. Every dish was incredibly flavorful and well-prepared. The restaurant itself is spacious, allowing for plenty of diners without feeling crowded, and it’s impeccably clean throughout. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, perfect for a relaxed meal. Prices were very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. Highly recommend!
