The hotel is not bad, it is easily assessed by public transport. But it is a little old-fashioned, I would say "classical" with heavy curtains on the window, supplied with bundages, so it is not possible to close the window by curtains in the evening. I tried to unbound one, but I couldn't move curtain after it became unbound, toward the middle of the window. After room was cleaned next day I found bandage on its place and curtain was supported by it aside of the window again. Despite the fact that window looked to some internal hotel space, it wasn't clear at all is somebody can see me through this uncovered window at the evening. So, after unsuccessful fighting with curtain I decided not to come closely to window at night and use just minimum of light. The second inconvenient and strange thing was the absence of opportunity to make a booking, which includes breakfast. This hotel wad suggested by the organizers of Conference, which I attended, so, I eventually booked it after spending a few days looking for the option of room and breakfast at once. In the hotel I was told - it was routine information, I did not ask for it, - that if I like I can come to the restaurant at the lobby and buy breakfast for €8 every morning. So, it appears like they do not propose breakfast together with accommodation intentionally. Also, my lick was that my room was not located above the street. I assume that it is a little noisy in such rooms, especially if there is some competition happens on the nearby-located sport arena. One evening of my stay was associated with terrible roaring of fans and I eas really lucky that my room was located at the opposite to stadium side. Anyway, I heard their sound even though. So, generally, if you like to stay there it could be a good choice because of location and size of appartment - it was OK for 1 person, - but you should ask for the appartment on the side opposite to the road and consider that breakfast is not included into the...

1/5 Rating
I recently had the misfortune of staying at Hotel Millennium, Budapest for 17 days, and I must say that it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've ever had.
Noise Pollution: A Sleepless Nightmare The room assigned to me was extremely noisy, with constant sounds of police sirens, ambulances, and traffic reverberating through the walls. The lack of soundproofing made it feel like I was trying to sleep in the middle of a busy intersection. Despite my complaints to the staff, they seemed unconcerned, stating that the room was larger and that's just what they had to offer.
Heating Issues: Freezing Temperatures To make matters worse, the room was freezing, and the heater was not working. When I reported this issue to the staff, they were unhelpful, suggesting that I contact the booking agency instead of taking responsibility for resolving the problem.
Subpar Breakfast: Limited Options The breakfast spread was another letdown, with no vegetarian options available despite the hotel's rating. This lack of consideration for guests with dietary restrictions was surprising and disappointing.
Poor Housekeeping: Unacceptable Neglect The most shocking aspect of my stay, however, was the complete neglect of housekeeping. My room was not cleaned once during my entire 17-day stay. When I brought this issue to the attention of the hotel supervisor, I was expecting a more thorough cleaning and a change of bedsheets. Instead, I received a single change of bedsheets in over two weeks, which was woefully inadequate.
Conclusion: A Hotel that Falls Short Overall, my experience at Hotel Millennium, Budapest was a disaster. The hotel's inability to provide basic amenities, such as a quiet room, a working heater, and decent housekeeping, is unacceptable. Unless significant improvements are made, I would not recommend this...
Read moreworst hotel I ever stayed. we requested a double bed or at least a double blanket and sheets after booking. they replied that our request has been fullfilled. when arriving there, the reception had no clue of the request, and said it is not possible to fullfill it at all. going to the room, the 3rd floor smelled like mold, carpets were dirty both in the hallway and the room. the pillows were double the height of normal and was very hard to sleep. next morning we requested smaller pillows and they promised to deliver to our room. came back at 12:00 night, found out that they never brought the smaller pillows. my wife went to the reception and the receptionist was rude as well, said ironically" do you want me to go to IKEA now?". "why didn't you ask earlier". she said we did but he replied he could do anything at that moment and didn't know where the pillows are. I went after she told me that, told the receptionist that I want smaller pillows or if not, to get the money back for the rest of the days left so I can book another hotel. He said he couldn't do that, and after waiting and arguing for 20 minutes, another guy came and we went together to a storage room at the second floor, which smelled like mould as well, found 2 smaller pillows and managed to sleep. location of the hotel is 20 mins from the centre of the city, by metro just for people to know before booking. we could get a lot better hotel with that price, in the city centre. never again at that terrible hotel. room was small, and their attitude was terrible. no communication between them there. very...
